Someone made some changes to the picture with which I won the POD award on e-on software. That person made it so it looks now like the man has an erection. I'm sad and also mad about this. Although I know that person didn't mean to hurt me. He just thought it was funny, and didn't even think about the fact that I might not like what he did to me picture. I'm rather upset by this, also because my name is still on it. How do you all feel about this? Is it stupid of me to be upset by this? Thank you

Wendy...u r not wrong to feel harmed by this action. I too have had a picture I created 'played' with. I felt violated because he didn't ask or even consider my feelings or even apologise. My only suggestion is for you to watermark your work. If you register your watermark, then - you can make legal enquiries regarding your rights. I have yet to discover any other way...if someone else has any suggestions, I too would appreciate the input. Regards Sacred

Thank you so much Sacred. I believe I read something in the manual from paint shop pro about watermarking. I'm going to dig into it. :)

If they posted the picture here, let the folks in charge know about it. Artist's copyrights ARE respected here and the person will probably be reprimanded and/or banned. No-one has the right to re-post your work, altered or otherwise, without your permission. At the very least the r.com admins will take it down for you. If it's posted elsewhere, get ahold of those admins, or if it's on his site, tell his webmaster. I'm sorry this happened to you! Please don't let it discourage you from sharing your work in the future though...you do wonderful stuff. MaryCanary

It wasn't here Mary. It's on another forum. I send a mail to the person who did it. I'm waiting for a response.

kick their butts!!!!!!!!!!! yes, it's very rude to mess with someone else's work. i don't blame you for being mad.

Right here in the Web one has two possibilities: 1) to post his work publicly and thus risk everyone to download (and do whatever he wants to) it, and 2) to not post. My only hope is that the behavior of only a few being inconsiderate wont lead to artists having - if at all - only their "second-degree" works posted and thus hiding their best works from the many who'd appreciate to see them in the long run. Well that's just terrible, Rynn. I hope you can get it removed from wherever it is. Some people just have no class or respect at all, you know? Watermarking sounds like a good idea.

Rynn ( ) posted Sat, 06 January 2001 at 1:14 AM

Well, it has been removed. I also send some mails to the one who did it but he doesn't send me a reply. Anyways, I hope I have seen the last of this.

Here is a link to another site that has extensive information available for further investigation Wendy. I hope it is of some use to you. Regards Sacred
