Thanks, but think the problem is not in the Poser exporting act, because in Lightwave, all body parts are correctly listed as polygon parts; but after then, if I export the modified figure from LW to Poser or UV mapper, the figure becommes without any part, just one group... Maybe it's impossible to associate those programs in that way, all the tutorials foundede on the web concern only importing poser figures on LW and stay there...
Thread: saving props into the library | Forum: Poser Technical
Hello, Kevin It's OK now, when I save the attached prop, in the dialog box I only give a name for it, and I don't select "select subset" option ; the next dialog appears asking me if I want to make a smart prop. All is ok, for the fingers too. Another solution was to use a cr2 editor and in the pp2 file replace "parent universe" with "smartparent head:1" Thanks.

I've downloaded the 4.03 update from curious labs, but the problem still remains. Where can I find the 4.02+ ?
Thread: Render to Disk:Speed vs. Quality | Forum: Bryce
There are some things I do to fast rendering times (using only render to disk ! ). I try always to use the objects the most simple possible:an exemple, for modelling an house, I export from RDS5.5 a cube with boolean operations to let appear the doors and windows: after exporting, I use UV mapper program, make a template and a nice texture map in Photopaint. The simple object doesn't take much memory in Bryce and his rendering looks fine for a very short time. I only use complexes objects for the very near vision. I also use a complete hard disk drive for Bryce, nothing else on it and close all another programs during rendering. Forget not to close screensavers too. I hope that in the future Bryce.5 will optimize the rendering times. I thing

It seems to be the same speed for me; I've used BMP and TIF files,( I don't use Photoshop) Tif only is rendered with an entire mask and is slower to load in the 2d paint program. A normal scene (without extra lighting)with a poser4 imported object with 300 dpi and 2000/1500 pix is rendered in about 2 hours (with an old machine pentium2).I think it can be faster with an athlon 800, or more !

RDS is not so difficult to work ; except maybe the free form modeler, the rest is quite logical and fast to use. Load at the beginning the 3D assistant to help you create conventionnal forms. You can find some specific tutorials on the web (b.e.http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Heights/5696/)

Thanks Kevin .I've downloaded the poser-rds-plugin, but it seems not to be used in the way I like : I need the features that Poser adds to RDS 's mesh form modeler, to create custom figures ... Can you give me the exact name and location of the extension ? Great thanks. Philippe.
