if ou use firefox and use noscript you will have to allow it to run the scripts on the site, if you use any other popup/flash/java viewer you may have to aloow it in there also

success!!!! :) after a lot of messing about if was "reflection value" i should have been messing about with using pvc tab under the materials menu :) now it looks nice and shiny when rendered :p

well i dont know what im doing wrong, followed all the instructions to the letter and now i can see her pants through the dress :( so in a fit of rage (and to save my sanity) i have removed all 3d apps from my system :p after i have calmed down and done a lot more reading i may come back to this.

i have 4, 4.1 and 4.2 installed and i can use them all without issue, if you let the installer do its thing, you should have no problems what so ever :)

ah! i have just got to marks tutorials on the materials room, so what a coincidence :p thanks for yet more helpful infomation, will try it later when i have woke up, only been up for 10 mins so still asleep :D

ah i see, thanks for the info, i went and bought mark bremmers poser tutorial for poser (lucky i had a lot of money for my bday) but still i cant get the poser render to look anything like the daz studio render, the dress just looks better in daz, i have played with lights and everything, i must be overlooking something so simple its untrue :p

i have been away for a few weeks on holiday so am catching up on the emails - thanks for the link :)

i meant to ask (it wont let me edit my post above so i had to reply to it) where can i get the script (if indeed it is a script) for the max texture size option in your settings Acadia ?

it wasnt so much i decided to use poser as it has better render engine, it was more an overall choice, poser has more options from what i can see over daz studio, and from what my tutor tells me its the application to use :)

i have bought marks tutorials for poser 7 and carrara - set me back a few pennies but well worth every one of them :)

thanks for the replies - friend of mine has the vtc tutorial for poser 7 by mark bremmer so hes going to send me the chapter 17 folder on rendering, but will try your settings :)

looks like you are using a different version of poser as i dont have a few of the options in your picture, have changed them and it looks a bit better but daz studio still looks a bit better, i will play around with the settings :)

This has since been bought by adobe and turned into adobe atmosphere, and seeing as that is now a discontinued product you might be out of luck, unless you know where to look ;)
