The next method relies on replacing the instances with actual geometry and using one of the above described methods such as Dformers or mesh grabbers to push and pull the actual geometry so collision with your figure is minimised. Hope this helps :)
I do use Mesh Grabber to move things around, and it's really nice to use, but to make the grass appear I have to select "INVIDIA Iray", and this slows DAZ to a crawl, making it somewhat impossible to use the mesh grabber to manipulate any geometry. With that being said, I agree that rendering twice, and using an editor to combine the two will be the easiest way to get rid of the grass.

Use "MeshGrabber" (at Daz) to push the grass down.
The problem with this is that there is nothing to grab, because the grass blades only show when rendered, or I select "INVIDIA Iray" in the drop box. I've looked through the "Parameters" tab to make sure that all of the "Visibles" were on; like "Visible in preview", etc., but the grass, flowers, etc., are invisible until rendered or selecting "INVIDIA Iray" in the work room window.

Only thing I can think is to do 2 render passes one with and one without the grass and post work the grass out in your paint program of preference...
That's kind of what I was thinking, as well. It just seems like there is some way to edit the grass. If it shows in INVIDIA Iray, it seems like there would be a way to make it show in Texture Shaded mode.

It's dark. lol And it's probably doing everything you mentioned. I actually stopped it at 90% (46hrs. later) and it actually looks really good; I just didn't feel like tying up my computer any longer.

It does show that there are multiple displacement maps for my figure, but not for the stockings. How does this affect the rendering?

Thanks for the replies, guys. Lobo, I have actually scaled the islands, on the uv map section, but this scaling is not effecting the size of the binding of the actual models texture. I can now see that it is due to how the model was unwrapped. If I go to the model, and click a cell (Island), I can scale it to the size that is correct, but it then distorts the models texturing, as it stretches the texture (in this case, wood grain). To me, it looks as though the builder didn't actually separate the binding of the guitar from the body of the guitar, during the mapping process. Therefore, no matter what I do to the "Binding" mesh, no scaling takes place. I' believe that the model would need to be UV Unwrapped again, but actually segregating the texturing, in order for any scaling to take place. This seems like a big challenge for someone of my little knowledge of Blender.
