Cool, thanks for the tips Varian. I had a hunch that I might be able to do some tweaks from in Vue. The pose adjustment is something I might actually be able to fix the way you say... I just have to nudge one arm down a little and the other arm up a bit (they don't look as relaxed as they ought) As for the clothes splitting, it's a little worse than that... I have some rather extreme bends at the elbows and the clothing has split apart to look like it's torn... well not exactly torn. It's a problem with how the clothes are constructed and the fact that I'm trying to bend to somewhat sharp elbows. On the other hand, I did see a speck of skin showing through clothes at one spot that your method might fix. :) Again, thanks for the support and information. I have had some fun lurking on this forum while I was contemplating buying Vue.

Yay! Great image. :) I have to say those textures are very believable. No I haven't found bugs in my food, but one year in college (in New Orleans where they have HUGE bugs) we had a very large bug that used to like to take showers with us. Imagine washing your hair and turning around to see a bug as large as your hand sittin' there watching you. Bleah!

Hmm. I see what you're saying. How about a splash of morning sunlight? I'm thinking about the kind of sunlight that makes cats stop dead in their tracks and pass out on the floor with that tremendously contented look on their faces. Some warmer light might help. I've often seen that kind of blue tile look mixed in with yellow sunflowers in a "country" decor type of look. The suggestion of orange juice is good... or break it up with some kind of sunflower-esque thing like a dishtowel with a yellow pattern on it. The eggs look fantastic. I love the slight imperfections in the shell color that really makes them look like you could pick them up and crack them open. Are they hard boiled? Maybe they're still steaming! Just a few thoughts

I appreciate the info too. I think ZBrush is on my wishlist for now. I'm not spending more money on software for awhile. :P gotta keep my hobby budget in line.

Haha! I will have to share this one with my boyfriend! It definitely made me smile... I have to agree the woman's horrified look is just icing on the cake. The gesture she's making just emphasizes it. Great work!

Hmm, you might actually be able to get a believable "Wet" hair look with this one... just a thought. It looks like it's been combed back while wetted down so if you clumped the hair right it'd look wet or gooed over with gel or something.

I know in poser you can sometimes select body parts and make them invisible. (hide, or make them not visible) I'm not sure if that's always helpful but it's a good way of hiding flaws (Agh! his toes are sticking through his shoe!) I have a personal peeve about making things whole. I think it dates back to when I was a kid and I hated to get toys that weren't complete. There's nothing worse than half of a doll (with the other half sewn to a purse or something). Or those silly crocheted toilet-paper cover dolls that old ladies make where the top half is a doll and the bottom half is just a skirt that goes over a roll of toilet paper. I have gone off down a tangent though. When it comes to making a picture, I'm happy if the image I'm trying to create is whole, the rest of it can be full of holes as long as I can't see them.

I played around with the Bryce 5 demo and to be honest it seemed really easy to make it hang for an indefinite period of time if you twiddled with the tree dials too much while the preview render was turned on. I think I need something more idiot proof than that. That could just be the demo, but I don't know.
