Indeed! I know a few ladies who could 'Drink Men or aliens under the table... ;-)
Well, for one thing, the ingredients used in those 'Alien spirits' are for the
most part "indigenous" to their planets. So, human anatomy is not used
to absorbing them. Which could account for the "Stronger effect"
Ah! The Blue hue of the skin is simply a filter in C4D, you could accomplish
the same effect in Poser. You first need to desaturate the texture you want
to use, then simply multiply it by whatever hue you which...
So, no need for complicated nodes here. You just need to find the proper
rgb colors to multiply your Greyscale texture. Â Also, i use a bit of 'Translucence'
on the skin(very low setting). I would plug that node to the Greyscale map also.
Do not forget that your light setup will affect the final look of your skin.
I never have more then 3 lites in any scene. 2 have shadows, the third is
just a 'Fill Light'...
Hope this info helps you!

LOL!
Andorians...
Well, actually, this character is a DNA mix of human, Andorian & vulcan.
The texture is a mix DAZ Hi-res Maps with Sophie(3DStrike).
The Antenae are from me, in Freestuff...
Also modified a Vein Map...
Also, it's rendered in C4D.
BTW, the HoloArch will become available to the community very shortly
Just need to make a few more tests, before packing the files...
The full pic is here:

A quick way is to click once on camera icons,
then the cam parameters appear in "Dials palette"
Now, simply use the the dials to pan around.
Much quicker then using the icons.
Also, sometimes switching to "Box tracking" will
speed things up even more...
Hope this helps

:-)
Doc! You must forgive my impulses. My personnal life has change drastically
in the last months. And i'm in "hyper-sentisitive" mode concerning other's
feelings... So, i'd rather be safe then ruffle anyone's feathers...
In any case, Glad everything is on an even keel.
I usually try to discover all the secrets to the applications i use myself.
But, i must admit, that i've peeked at your tuts regularly.
Your knowledge of Poser is impressive. But, it's your ability to make the info
readily & effectively available to others that impresses me the most!
If you ever require anything for your tuts, let me know & shall model it for you!
Regards!

Sorry, Doc!
I will refrain from further attempts at humour. And bit my fingers before typing
Phuzzie, Everyone has imagination.  Imagination is based on our 'perceptions' of
the world around us. I think we restrict those levels of perception ourselves.
For me, what helped me 'unleash' the dormant imagination inside me, was
to learn "lucid dreaming". It's basically learning to explore the subconscious
through dreams... Also, imagination doesn't meaning making amazing pics
or creating amazing creatures. Imagination can manifest itself through all
aspects of our lifes...

Indeed Geep!
We are limited only by our own imagination....
Well one could simply parent a simplified cone to the spotlite
& turn it's display to 'Outline mode'...  There might even be a way
to make a Python script that could widen the cone to reflect
the 'Angles' of the Spot automatically?  Just a thought...
Oops! Sorry Doc! Didn't mean to steal your 'Spotlite'(Pun intended).

LOL Geep!
I had to load my prop & double-check!
The problem with my prop is i couldn't properly find a solution
to unroll it while maintaining precise dimensions??
This was done as request for a friend from a different site...
She just needed a realistic static prop. The 4 preset positions were bonus.
"Modeling is easy. Poserizing is Hard..." ;-)
Maybe i should write an instruction booklet for NSG... :-O

If so, i'm glad it's useful!

LOL Ziggie! It's a Mad, Mad world out there! Ah Nice find Mystic-nights! BTW, any of you know where i can find a 'Whinnie de Poh'? I need to make a special pic for my niece. If not, i'll have to make it myself. probably have to make the Donkey too. Darn it. So many thingies to do, so little time. Markus
Thread: Free snow globe prop? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
See, Ziggie! P4 render & looks great! :-) Well, i won't compete with Traveler. So, i won't include the multiple bases & they come untextured. But, are easy to texture. They do however have the front "Plaque" for adding a text or logo... ;-) The flakes will simply be single polys floating about. BTW, Ziggie! Love your Nick! Anything to do with Z... Stardust? Bonne Soiree a tous! Markus
Thread: AS's Kielo II vs Blackhearted's GND | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
AS already incorporates all their clothes with MT's to fit Kielo! So, no need to use tailor to fit them. They also have lots of MTs for V3 shapes too... Just check all the MT's listed in their product pages. Indeed! Kielo is Fantastik! So are all the clothes sets! My best investment in poser content in the last year. Regards! Markus

Ziggie, Rendered in C4D with one SpotLite. But, you can get similar results in poser5+ The trick to Glass or any shinny surface is 2fold: Lite placement & environment map. For anything like Glass & Car paint i use a simple BW Map made of white Circles & squares on Black. It makes for pretty cool effects. Another trick one can use in case of ice or Glass Globes is to have them illuminated from the inside instead... Just restrict the lite's effect to the glass only. Just noticed a flaw in this render, there should be a thin ouline shadow of the glass projecting on the floor. hmmm.... I think the thickness of the glass is not enough. I will remedy that before i pack the final files. Anyhow, i'm off to work! Ciaos! Markus
