The solution is quite simple: When using the thumbnail preview mode of windows explorer for grafic files Windows XP generates an internal database for the thumbs with the extension *db. Normally it's hidden and encrypted because it's handled as a system file. If you choose 'show all extensions' you may click on it and delete it before you make a copy. It's more or less useless.(and definitely no original part of your runtime) The error message normally occurs when you try to save the folder on a CD or another storage.
Thread: P5 can't read png's after installing SR3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sorry folks, I'm a little late, but poser is only a hobby for me. I'm runnig the english version of poser 5 on a 2200+ Athlon with 2GB RAM DDR with XP Pro, so I think it has nothing to do with the gui, what I first expected. I checked the library and realised that only some of the customized pngs were corrupted.(I've got a lot of them after playing around for 3 years now!) Seems to be that SR3 doesn't tolerate png's with a special size and without transparency! I tried that '3PO-thing' and it worked. Afterwards I have converted the files with only one pixel transparency and now here we are again: it works !(Also double sized pngs) Thank you folks !

Hi Uli, nothing special when I use any other viewer or graphic program. The png's are quite alright. By the way, I haven't changed anything at my system.

Hi ronk ! sorry, but your online connection is not as simple as your telephone! You have to adjust the security options of your browser to be sure that your configuration remains unmanipulated. I've have tested the link and nothing 'criminal' happened. May be that you need a little more practice with your browser settings. Please have a look on JB's remarks. He's quite rhight: Nobody cares about you when you are entering a unknown homesite. Internet has never been a 'safe' place. It has been anachistic from the mere beginning and you have to be aware that some hosting sites will try to manipulate your system. That's commom use, especially when free webspace is offered.

Hi nikita, not enough chears for your homepage? OK, its'one of the best in the community. Should I really list up all neurotic kids that are playing around here? Nope. Wusamah donated his work to the community, and as far as I can evaluate it, it's really great stuff. Even if he has intended some merchandising for his site, it's a fair deal, because it's free. And if you are annoyed by pop up's and java scripts, simply click it away or disable it. This is Internet, not your local drive. Now ronk, I've read it! Doesn't mean that I wan't to flame. But sometimes it's really a good idea to get a little more into details before post a complaint. If you have to post a download with high bandwidth you often have to accept some compromises. This means that the free hosting is bundled with advertising, pop up's or advertising. We all have to pay our bills. This is the end my friend

Dear generous, handsome, beautiful, wise, outstanding, full of knowledge, prince of donators wusamah, and whatever you like to be, big thanks for your freebies - this is really quality stuff, and in comparison to some store releases it's even more professional!(I admit, I wouldn't be able to do anything like that) I've got some experience with online publishing and I may assure you, whatever you try to get perfect, there's always an idiot who won't realize it. So please ignore the ignorants (those who cannot handle a simple cookie) and enjoy the praise of the silent majority.

can't sign this. Tried win 2000 and in all aspects of multimedia and hardware extensions- it was a nightmare. I'm using a 21'' screen and a I'm a notorious high detail renderer. Call me insane but I changed to XP when upgrading to an Athlon 1800+ with 1 Gig Ram and a Geforce 3. Runs like hell! OK, it took about two weeks to turn XP into a running system but after that: No complaint. So if you got some experience with operating systems and a fast machine have a try.
