I'm for the 1st amendment all the way! Gotta find a copy of "Equalilbrium" sounds interesting. Another movie that comes to mind is "Pleasantville".
The last thing we need is more Government control.

I never knew there was a backroom. It's great to see those images in there. I see two of them that desevered to be in the Top 20.
Where can I find the link to the backroom? Can the link be placed somewhere on the right hand side with all the other links? I bookmarked it and hopefully I can find it again.
Thread: Anyone else having bad hair? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you EliphasLavey and randyM77 both your suggestions have really helped and my renders look so much better now.
Sorry for causing the controversy in here. I didn't mean to start anything. I think if you pay for a product it should look good or as good as they advertise. I've bought daz hair after hair and can't get them to look as good as renders I've seen...so I'm thinking it's just my problem with not Poser that well. But I suppose since P5 is still new it will be years before it's fully supported. There are many things I love about P5 and a few things I don't...like the fact it keeps asking for a texture I used 5 renders ago...I've installed too many things in P5 now and don't have time to re-install them for P4....so I'll make do for now.
I do appreciate all you guys help on here...everytime I have a problem there's always someone willing to help. For now I'll go back to my vow to learn to paint hair better so I won't have to rely on hair props so much.
Thanks again everyone for your help.

Thank you all for your advice on this. I tried the fix by dbowers22 and it solved part of the problem. The hair isn't pixelated or blacked out on top anymore but I still have a very noticeable hair line. I'm happy with the results though. I thought it was jsut me that was having the problem. now I know it's a P5 problem.
Thank you for all your assistance.

Thread: The top 20--A question? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This topic has been debated on this forum and the community forum many times over. Nothings changed and I don't believe it ever will. The top 20 is a popularity contest...pure and simple. Yes, there are some great art and artists that make it on there but the majority of the images on there are cookie cutter T&A. I don't look at the top 20 anymore and it's not something I aspire to. All I can say is do not look for validation of your artistic skills from the top 20. You'll be chasing a dream.

Thread: Product credits | Forum: Community Center
Look at yourself in the mirror. Are you labelled? i.e. product of Bob and Jill Smith (who are your parents). Are your clothes labelled on the outside where everyone can see.....i.e. trousers made by Kmart, breasts my Doctor Kaner? I view my art in pretty much te same way. My art may be the final product of a compliation of many products from many artist...but I've made it my own and I don't think I should have to put product labels on it.
If I look at a picture with a long list of product credits I get distracted and end up trying to figure how which prop is which and how it was used and textured and I lose sight of the wonderfulness of the image.
I'm sure most merchents appreciate the product credits because it's good advertising for them and that's fine. I'm not trying to take anything away from anyone. I don't think there is anything wrong with posting product credits if you chose to do it. I'm not a merchent, I'm not trying to sell a product. I'm a wannabe artist trying to sell and develope my skill. This is just my personal opinion on product credits. But if I chose not to, I hope people will understand why.

Thread: Poser gallery postings | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I agree with thefixer. Whatever program you use the most to create the image should be the one it's listed under and if it's a lil bit of posr, bryce, vue etc...should be posted in the mix medium. I'm trying to place my images in the proper gallery too. The truth is that the poser gallery gets more attention so if you post it in there your image will probably get more views and or comments.

Cara, I like your idea of having the thumbnail open to the gallery so it frees up spots for more members to be on the top 20. This is a great suggestion. That way perhaps in the Poser gallery alone it would open up more room for other people to make it there. It's a great idea but I don't know if the owners of this site would put such effort and work only to satisfy a small group like us.

Cara, Yes I read that thread also and it was what prompted me to post my question. I don't necessarily have a problem with the top 20. I think on paper it's a great idea, I just don't agree with how it's being managed and I'm tired of seeing all the same people make it on there. I think someone already suggested this in that thread but I would love an area where site moderators or someone who knows art, showcase images that are really good, have artist merit and for whaterver reason may not have gotten a hundred oohhs and ahhhs. I'm telling you that's the gallery where I would strive to appear in. Because I know it counts. I know it's based on my art not my popularity. I've been thinking a lot about this topic since I started the post here...and have been thinking about what everyone's said about it and was starting to think that maybe I was just bitter and envious of other peoples success and popularity in the galleries...but after going back into the Poser galleries and seeing all the over flattering oooohhs and aahhhs and saccharine comments, I knew it wasn't just me. I'm not envious of people's talents or success.....but I am bitter that undeserving people and images get all the attention while so many other images in the galleries go unnoticed.

Longrider, fair enough. You're right. I should state what I'm trying to achieve with my images so you all can tell me if I'm hitting or missing it.
