Yes.That's the way

1. load the template for your character in a paintprogram.(for vic3 or vic4 you can get it for free from DAZ3D) 
2. make the  texture
3. load your texture in the Mat-room to your character

That's all.

It's not so complicated but you need a little bit practice.

Texture Template Download

Load the files in a graphic program.(I use PS-elements) and copy and paste your image
step by step about your template.After saving you can load the textures in Poser.

This textures will be work on any characters with the same texture templates.For example:If you use the template for V3 the texture will be work on any V3 character.It is independent from the morph or character you use. You can make head- or body-morphs with the most 3d programs (True Space;Amapi;Blender;Shade.......) I make first the headmorphs.This makes the personality.The texture gives only the last kick.
