I was thinking of upgrading to a single 1080, wow dual 980's would be awesome! Right now I'm having my video card choke and go black if I move things around too much, so I know I'm going to have to do something soon. I have a GTX 750 Ti right now, and it is not cutting it. :( I am just getting back into rendering after a several year break, and it is amazing how obsolete my computer is now.

Quote - I have reset your downloads and if you still have problems please try and contact the vendor for support.
Hi Tina,
It won't let me delete and change the download files. Is it because it is on clearance or is there something you have to do in order to let me upload smaller packages?

I will split the files, this was the first product I made available on Renderosity, and it allowed the larger size. It might take the product offline while they re-check it though. I'll contact you via your email for other options. Sorry about that!

Quote - Read my linked post. Two tiny objects ten inches apart - no problem. Never tell somebody to turn off shadows. Instead, tell them to use ray traced.
Thanks, I will do that.

I'm putting two info thumbs that warn about the issue, in case someone does want just tiny objects in their scene, and depth map shadows, to turn off casting shadows. That way, if they get the same thing, they won't wonder what is going on.

Quote - Just to be clear, it's 0.05 not 0.5 PU. The latter is about the height of a typical human figure.
0.05 PU is 130 mm or about 5 inches.
Nice to know, thanks for sharing!
Unfortunately, I don't think I could get away with a 5" maggot. :)

I've never had this issue before either, but I also haven't really used something this small either. I think the smallest we have created prior to this is a pen, and that was no problem. But a pen vs a baby fly (sounds so much better) is quite a bit bigger.

Quote - Known problem - they won't fix.
It's tiny scenes, not tiny props. If you put anything else in the world and it's at least a couple feet away, the problem disappears.
Nobody cares about depth-mapped shadows with a single tiny prop anyway.
thanks so much! it drove me crazy wondering how to fix it.

Thanks for your help, he has gotten that to work :) I didn't see his message for a few days, and didn't realized he had already gone to to the forum to ask.
