I did not realize that Leonard Nimoy played in that show for 50 years. That is a lifetime for some people.
Thread: Does anybody recall a short story consisting of two identical chapters ? | Forum: Writers
Well seems like some chapters in the Bible are like that. The same story in different locations of the Bible.

@DocPhoton- I always forget that you like to export your work and then import into Lightwave, and since I do not use Lightwave I know nothing about the processes in that program. The thing about instances that I have become aware of in Daz Studio is once you create the instance any change you make to it changes all of the instances of that type, so basically you have to make multiple individual instances of an object and change them. Example You have two different types of trees. TreesA and TreesB. You will make instances of TreesA and apply shaders or whatever to the original of set, then you make instances of TreesB and apply shader or whatever to the original of the set. All of Trees A will look the same and all of TreesB will look the same. Explaining this to people that may be following this thread. You can not make changes to the instances, but just to the original item.

@CaeserTheGreat- I use this product also to help move things around a scene - https://www.daz3d.com/placeholder-manager.
This is another product you might find useful-https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/125469/workflow-wizard This is an older tutorial, but I found it very helpful. After using these products you will find it easier to do what you want in your scenes. The workflow wizard gives tips on how to get more people placed in your scene, using the claylike humans. Once you get the clay folks in position, than you can use something like the https://www.daz3d.com/alienator-pro which is useful for replacing things in a scene with other things, PropSwap is the one I use the most. Now this one-https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/137789/formation-x-configuration-and-alignment-scripts-for-large-groups-in-daz-studio is very similar to the Flock-It product at the DazStore.
Another thing you can do is use low poly figures in the scene and once you have the scene set up the way you want, replace the low poly figure with your Genesis character.
There are free low-poly figures online that you can use for this purpose. I use the obj file and just import it into Daz Studio. low poly is low polygons. I hope this gives you and others reading this post ideas on how you can move things quickly in your scenes. Sometimes I just load primitives and apply shaders to them to use as place holders.

I own several of Code55 products, can you explain what you mean by points. Does this mean a specific location? Draagonstorm has a Instances Plus+ that gives you more control as far as the placement of the items. There is also a video you can watch to see how it works.

I usually just export the csv file from the Account page and it has what I need, you might find it helpful. The file can then be imported into excel, or access, or word or similar programs.

MP means market place. Although my final renders are usually Iray, the other viewpoints allow you to move your stuff around much faster, try using the wireframe, wireshaded, wire texture shaded and texture shaded. I often switch between the viewpoints because these allow me to move things faster. If you are using a tablet with your computer, you can use the View Tab to move stuff around quickly. I also use the Tool Settings tab for this. You can also use the Parameter tab and key in the location, I always have to estimate how far to move the items. If you are using the keyboard shortcuts, that can be a great help.In Daz Select Edit View and you should see some shortcuts to navigate around the screen.

One of the things I do when rendering is to have my renders go to a window instead of a file. Once the render looks the way I want, I save that render to a file.
The setting for this is found in your Render tab and locate the Render Target section then change it to new window. You can pull the window off to the side while it is rendering. You can still see your workspace, but you can not do anything in it until the render completes or unless you stop/cancel the render.
Here is a screen shot of a product I am currently working with - It is the Keita Far East Club and the character is her G9 male.
As you can see there are many props here. In this situation I simply click on the item I want to move, click on the parameters tab to see the settings and estimate how far to the left or right I want to move the item, then I type in the location in the X trans section or z if I am moving it forward or Y if I am moving it up. I am using the LitWire frame viewpoint. Tablet user, you can select the item using your pen and drag it to where ever you want.
You always render through a camera (this is for those that are new to Daz Studio)

One of the things I have learned is to render the image larger than I plan to use it, usually two to three times larger than I plan to use, then reduce it to a smaller size. If the final image is going to be 2000 x 2000 I will render it as 4000 x 4000 or 6000 x 6000 and resize it to 2000 x 2000. I use the denoise option as well. this along with the lights, and other adjustments in the render settings and parameter tabs these things make a difference for me. Using the Iray render engine. Now if I use the filament or viewpoint render engine I make the adjustments in the filament options that I like. It depends on what you are trying to achieve. The same with 3delight or the Lux or Reality render engines. Some people say the aspect ratio is important but that has not been something I have found to be true in my case. Lights are a key factor as well. HDRI's can make a difference, but sometimes using them can lead to longer render times. Some people like to use lots of lights while others will say that 3 lights is usually good enough. Then there is the process of multi-layer rendering which is what I do when I have lots of lights, you can render the scene per light (can not remember the term for that). You can also set up the scene to just render certain parts of the scene and put it together in a 2D program. Rendering a scene with lots of stuff in it including lights and multiple characters can take a long time. Also rendering scene with 1k, 2k, 4k, or 8k textures can cause the render time to be extremely long. So in a nutshell there are many things we do to get the look we want. Usually it is a combination of things we have learned by trial and error. Also keep in mind that just because something works on one system it will not work the same on other systems because of the system specs.
Saying you use Daz Studio is not enough because some people are using Daz Studio 23, and some people are still using Daz Studio 10. There are some features available only in certain versions of Daz Studio. Filament for instance is not available in DS 4.21, so I was told recently. Some people are still using Window 7 or 8, and you can not use dForce on some of those system. There is also the Octane render engine that some people use. There are certain plugins some of us use, that can not be used in all of the versions of Daz Studio.
Graphics Memory can be another issue. The more memory you have the better chance you have of being able to get the results you want, or if you do not have enough memory you will run into some problems.
Camera settings can also make a difference. Surface Tab settings make a difference. So many things contribute to you getting the result you want.
Monitor size makes a difference too. I have a 17 in monitor for my laptop, a twenty-inch pen display, and a 26 inch regular monitor that I use. Sometimes at the same time, anything larger and the image appears to be distorted to me. That leads me to the screen pixel size, if the pixel size is too large, I can not see the detail all that well,
To address your irrelevant comment, to me the information was reverent because of how I tend to explain things. Let say you are using a Mac, well some things are not going to work on the mac as it does on Windows. So if you state what operating system you are using, then the person reading the post will know this.
Your render settings are very important, CPU or RTX or are you trying to use both. Someone would explain why one is better than the other. Also make sure you are using the latest version of the driver for your card, or you might run into problems.
When posting a question it is helpful for us to know as much about your system as we can, and the products that you are using. Example PaperTiger has some really great hdri and cameras. One of the is the x-ray camera. I love it, the results I get with my image and the results a friend of mine gets using the same products are not the same, because our systems are different.
My comment to you that you felt is a threat was to show you how your response on these forums can affect how much people support you. When someone takes the time to contact you about something, be respectful and helpful. That is good customer service.
When I asked you why you couldn't load your image, I was going to give you some tips in that area, but ...
You can get a high quality image, but it takes a combination of things to get the result you want. You can get an image that looks good on the computer but looks crappy when it is printed. It helps to know what a person is going to do with the final image.
As for the comment about a professional, a professional what. If you take the time to learn the software you can get the results you want. There are many different ways to get the same result.

Well if you are not willing to provide the information requested, you may not get specific information on how to do what you want. I did not notice those little symbols by your name when I read your question. So you are a Top Seller, Prime User, and a Vendor. I checked your store and put you on my list of vendors not to support because I was only trying to help you and your response leads me to believe you would not value me as a customer. CSR.
It has been my experience when asking a question if you provide the basic information as I requested, you are most likely to get answers that will help you including, links to why you might need to use certain settings to get the results you want. With the right hardware and settings I can get a high quality render on my machine in less than 15 minutes, (and it can be printed) while others may render the same image and it takes 4 or 5 days to get the same results I get.

Which version of Daz Studio are you using? According the the information on the page you provided it recommends version 4.22. You can not use this product in Poser. Is this a Nvivda graphics card? How much memory does it have? Why can't you upload the image? What do you plan to do with your high quality images. What is a high quality image to you? Can you use dForce items on your computer? Some people can not use dForce. Can you use the Iray render engine? Some people can not.
Most likely you can, but depending on your hardware and the settings you use, the time it takes to render will vary.

I do hope Daz makes changes for the better because if not they will not likely be celebrating another 25 years of being in business.

I have the previous collection of Mesh grabber, what is so great about mesh grabber 4? Is there really such a big difference. Daz is being a bit selfish, we should be allowed to purchase it if we want it. I do not think Daz staff has learned much in its 25 years of business. At least now it looks like they do not care about their long term customers. We are the reason they lasted these 25 years.
