The link to his freebies on Skydrive is the item saying FREE in English, on the Right-Hand-Side column.
This is the other set of poses I was looking for. Thanks for the help everybody!

Those are the ones! Bless you! And here I though it wasn't going to be much of a Christmas this year. Thank you again!

This has been a great thread. Thanks to everyone for all the leads.
I was wondering if someone could help me out? My hard drive tanked and I lost most of my files along with my external HD which I hadn't backed up in a month or so. Okay, silly me...Anyway, I'm looking for two sets of Aiko 3 pose sets. One was called (I think) 100 Poses. It was a wide range of poses, standing, sitting laying down, etc. The other was three or four files with titles like Action, Capture, Anime, Normal. Both sets were on Japanese sites, so that should narrow it down a little. Having lost all of my bookmarks, I can't see to find either of these sites. Could anyone be kind enough to point the way if these seem to ring a bell?
Again, great thread and thanks much.

Thank you! The first version was driving me (and a lot of other people on P5) just crazy. Can't wait to try this out.

It's a search engine. Type in what you're looking for (in the upper right) and it will take you to links for those items. Hours of fun. I use it all the time.

Tornado probe? Now that you mention it, it does look like one. If the Discovery pod idea doesn't pan out, well....there you go.

Reality shows? Blame us. So far as I know, we didn't invent them, but we sure made them popular, damnit all. I don't care for them myself, sort of like the trash talk shows. I don't need television to remind me how revolting the human race can be.
Re electroglyph:
Too bad about the model, it was a great start, although doing the astronauts would have been a bear. To throw some trivia into the pot, this sequence was the first shot on the first day of shooting on the film in 1964! About the same time Kubrick (sp?) was shooting at the Pinewood studios in England, half a world away at the Desilu studios in Hollywood, the first pilot for Star Trek was being shot. By the time 2001 was shot, edited and released, the entire Star Trek series was pretty much over. Hmmmm...if Stanley Kubrick had shot Star Trek....

Oh, well...Yes! of course. No hard feelings at all. I can see pictures, a few clips, hear about it from fans and etc. Anything worth having is worth waiting for. Besides, I'm still hunting down and watching the first and second Doctor's serials.
As an aside, I never quite understood how a television system like what the UK has actually survives. But then, the crap we have to put up with....I leave mine off most of the time anyway....

Maybe where you are...lucky so 'n' so...
We in the states are just about half way through with the 2005 series. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I'm enjoying the series very much. As a long time fan, I'm happy with what they've done to it to bring it up to the 21st century. I'm very much looking forward to the 2006 season if for no other reason than they're bringing back some old friends and some old bad guys as well. But, we've got to wait until 2007 to see them...

nickedshield, I agree with you. A good composition will tell a story. Even if it's a portrait, clothed or otherwise, it will tell a story. The devil is in the details.

jecnodde: I understand the point you're trying to make and I think it's a good one. Putting the figure adds nothing to the picture. Just to get hits? Fine, if that's what somebody wants, I guess it's okay. Each illustration stands on it's own merits and combining the two doesn't do a thing to advance either one. Then again, maybe it's me. Maybe I'm just too thickheaded to understand that human society has gotten so corse over the last 40 or so years that it takes something outrageous to get a response. For what it's worth, I think the unicorn piece is very well done and displays a good sense of dramatic conflict and energy in an otherwise peaceful setting. It's a piece you should be very happy with. The other piece is nice as well (by itself), but, and this is me again, I'd prefer it tell a little bit of a story. (Mind you, I do understand that it was done for illustrative purposes only.)

Don't read books. Don't watch tv or movies. Don't look at other artists. Turn off your computer. Get up and go outside into the great unwashed sea of humanity. Watch. If somebody, anybody, can't get one useful idea from that, then the problem runs much deeper...

"There is some great work being put out in the galleries, some of which are outstanding. But, you've got to wade through a lot of garbage to see it." Yep, and that what you choose to call garbage includes lots of images that do not show any nudity at all ... ...and I agree. It's the same with movies or television or anything else. Who was it that said "90% of everything is crap."? I remember, I just can't spell his name right...

At the rate of sounding like an outsider sticking his nose in where it might not belong, I agree. There seems to be an overabundance of "nude for the sake of being nude" images in the galleries. I'm starting to wonder if the 3D community hasn't degenerated to some point of mearly being a tool of adolescent fantasy wish fulfillment. Mind you, I didn't say that it's all like that. There is some great work being put out in the galleries, some of which are outstanding. But, you've got to wade through a lot of garbage to see it. I don't have anything against nudity myself. I was born naked, or so I'm told, and do it every day. I've also posted a couple, but usualy to make some kind of point within the context of the illustration. I'd post a link to one image in my gallery (under Bryce-Science Fiction)...but I'm not really sure how to to that (blush). Maybe with Poser, as well as all 3D programs the old saying about with great power comes great responsibility...or maybe restraint. Hope nobody takes any offence, as it was not my intent to offend. And forgive my spelling. These things need spellcheckers...
Thread: OT; a little something about a b-movie form the 80's | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There was a comic based on Buckaroo Banzai, but it came out after the film. The film was loosly based (or inspired by, for lack of a better term) on the Doc Savage pulps of the 1930s and '40s. I never understood the great attraction to the film as it just couldn't make up it's mind what it wanted to be. To each it's own I guess.
