It IS slow, INSANELY slow. I reinstalled it also because newer figures with gravity only work in 11 and crash Poser 2014 (they didn't with the latest SR update but AS STATED that was only available through SmithMicro). I've got a content manager installed as a work around for Poser's native content manager now being nonexistent, and I'll likely try Poser 12 after I graduate to see if its solved the speed issue. I hope its great.

That's a big issue, you can't have the latest SR because it was only available from SmithMicro and that download doesn't work anymore. I had to rebuild my laptop and reinstall Poser 2014 (Poser 11 is insanely slower than Poser 2014). But since I can't get the latest update for it its constantly telling me by 2014 scenes I'm opening are from a "newer version of 2014 than what I'm running" which is annoying.ย NOW the work around for the flash library doesn't work either. I'm VERY LEARY of buying the new version considering how much of a downgrade in speed Poser 11 was over 2014.https://www.renderosity.com/forums/threads/2956792
This post provides a solution to the embedded library issue in Poser 10.ย Make sure that you also have the latest SR.ย IRCC, it might also contain the solution.

I have long dreamed of an updated higher res mesh of the Gen 3 figures, done so that old clothing and items would still fit and work with them.

Aiko 3, Hiro 3, AikoToon (original Aiko 3 based), HiroToon, M3, V3, David, Freak, Melody, and Micah. Nothing has ever come close to the Gen 3 figures for LOOKING like comic book figures.
Genesis for monsters, SanctumArts Drub for monsters, parent Poisen's Cthulu Dreaming for a good Cthulhu (can parent a lot of things for the head to make all kinds of monster from it.)

Caisson,
I just wanted to make a quick point on the business practices which you used to divert the matter away from DAZ...{entire unabridged novel War and Peace}...I hope someone is listening and realizes that I have made valid points. I hope in the end, it helps.
I agree with most of Caisson's observations. I think a subscription model is likely inevitable. How it's implemented will determine if it kills or saves Poser.
If you charge monthly for something your competition gives away for free you're probably going to be in trouble. DazStudio is free, if the new version of Poser is subscription based and prior versions are left along and not forced to deactivate, but the subscription model is constantly supported, gets new features that work well, people will willingly go to the subscription model for the better software and features and this will likely work.
I have been an avid Poser user since Poser 4 (I had purchased Poser 2 but hadn't used it much) but I think you're going to have to suffer through a period of "rebuilding" like sports team do where you're not a profit but building confidence for your software before you start making profits again. I think that a more lucrative strategy than trying to make a profit right off the bat in the face of Daz3D war against you.

Been so busy with school work I haven't got a lot of time to play with her, put her in her Barbarian outfit and another one of her in her Valkyrie outfit with Cherry NearMe for scale. No postwork, render straight out of Poser.

Another quick render with DeathBringer loincloth for V4, the bone from Cave Troll, and one of Sinon's hairs. She really seems to be well suited for manga style comic illustration.

The shaping and breast morphs on her are very well done. The chest has an XY morph that's like the diameter morph on DAZ figures but works far better. Here's H-Girl next to Anime Girl Sinon.

I love Aiko3 and use her all the time. Seriously thinking about opening a new store just for content for the older figures.
Sign me up as a customer, Aiko3/Hiro3/David are the bulk of what I use to this day.
Same here - my latest Aiko (Sidney, Thorne's) is at https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/just-sidney-a3-/2888017/?p
Looks good! Fortunately I still have UTC with the AikoToon and HiroToon plug ins so I can convert any texture for Genesis2 to V4 over to any of V3/M3/D3/Aiko/Hiro or AikoToon and HiroToon.

ISTR a few years ago that several products here were pulled because of trademark infringement. Some of 'em made it back with altered names and logos, others, I dunno.
Yeah, DarkSeal made an awesome Poser/DS figure very much like the Pathfinder Goblins that was just incredible. Think it lasted 3 days before it was purged from the internets. :(

For me I've found that Aiko 3 and other Aiko versions do a good job for female anime characters. I just takes some patience to get the look that you want. I haven't tried yet, but I think the Girl will work for creating anime characters.
I have a bunch of examples in my Renderosity gallery There is also an Everything Aiko thread that has examples from other people as well https://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2890742
Totally agree, it's like Daz hit comic illustration gold with gen 3 figures. Add Capsces morph sets to each of them and you're set. I think the overall mesh shape and the expressions were just far better for comic illustration than prior generations and gen 4 onward. It's as if Gen 4 and on seem to be tailored to... well.... the nsfw industry.

Depending on what kind anime style you want, the entire Aiko/Hiro series was made as an anime/manga style (Aiko, Hiro, AikoToon, HiroToon, Aiko4 Hiro4 etc,) plus NearMe, AnimeDoll and AnimeAlice. There have been a LOT of anime figures made for Poser. I still think the 3rd gen Aiko3/Hiro3/AikoToon/HiroToon are the closes in style and expression to anime (a lot of anime video series were made with them).
If you have the Capsces morph sets for any of the Poser figures you can make them look a lot more anime ish.
