could you give more detail on the luminosity map part? What is a luminosity map and how do I make one in photoshop? Thanks for any info on the subject!
Thread: Anyone have good methods for animating handheld camera? | Forum: Vue
Oh, yeah.... Vue 6. Thank you for your help. I'll give it a try and see what the results bring. I know my question is quite broad considering the different types of movements possible. I just wanted to see if anyone has written a good tutorial on how to achieve realistic movements.Â

I would have to agree with wolf359 about Cinema 4D. It rivals Maya and Studio MAX and it's not as hard to use. It renderer is superb. I was using Bryce and Vue for a long time, and I think out of those two, Vue is slightly better. These are more amateur programs though compared to Maya, Studio Max, and even Cinema 4D. My vote would be for Cinema 4D with Poser Pro Pack.

Well, bugs happen in almost all programs. I can't tell you the countless times I've bought video games and had bugs with them. I look at the box that the game comes in to make sure my computer is up to par. My computer has always surpassed the games requirements by far. Then I get home, install the game -- and it doesn't work. Then after hours of frustrating posting in forums like these, I find out that my particular soundcard, videocard, etc. is not yet compatible with the game, but a fix is in the works. So, I wait several weeks for the fix to come and eventually it does. I guess what I'm complaining about is that the software companies should test and test and test until they are sure the program is at least 99% bug free. I am not in the software biz so I'm not sure this is possible... but in my mind anything is possible. ;) I know that software isn't perfect, but most bugs should be fixed before they even select a shipping date. Just my 2cents.

Make sure you set the keyframe each time you move your poser model. Its the the little PLUS sign in the animation window.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I am using ProPack and it doesn't seem to be converting the jpg files. hmatienzo - In your first post you said: "In ProPack, just load the jpg, it will do the rest automatically. Just watch out when PP asks for a BUM and can't find it... it tends to go into an endless spin." I have been experiencing the PP endless spin. How do I avoid this so the PP recognizes that the jpg file is a .bum file?
Thread: Question for those of you that sell ART Prints here at Renderosity | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
ChuckEvans - yes, I don't have a gallery up, yet. I'm still new to poser and I am experimenting with many things. I hope to have something up in the new future.

Thanks EricofSD. I guess I missed that one. I'm not really sure if anyone would be interested in photo prints at renderosity anyway because it is mainly a 3D design community. I might give it a shot with one or two of my prints. Who knows?

Okay, I get it. I understood the color coding to a point -- I figured that the red part of the lips is where I should paint the lip color. My question was mainly toward the colors around the head. Upon looking at the the seam guide further I figured out how to use the color coding for those areas. Thanks for the quick explanation and great work on the guide! HORNO
Thread: Eyebrows | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Is there a detailed tutorial somewhere regarding eyebrows? I spent all of last night figuring out how to map eyelashes. I finally figured it out. I thought that I could do the same things for eyebrows, but I too get the blocked eyebrows. I can see the eyebrow texture underneath, but I can't get rid of the blocking eyebrow. Poppi -- you said to "keep the colo0r setting that comes with the mat file." I know this may be a stupid question, but how do I know what the color setting for the mat file is and how do I apply it to eyebrow? I like a lot of details if you can give them :) Thanks in advance!

Yes, indeed this will be helpful. I have a question about it -- what are the color codings for? How do I use the colored aspects of the seam guide? THX!
