Hi drifterlee,
I'm running win 7 pro 64-bit and I havent run into any problems with apps or games running under the 64-bit OS.
I was able to get Quake 4 running. Thats the only PC game I own...I use my xBox for gaming. ;)
I did have to get a new scanner and printer since my old ones didnt have drivers for win 7 64-bit.

Hi thefixer,
Man - I thought I was the last Microsoft hardcore hold out in the world. :)
It took me years to leave IE and go with another browser....Man, once I did I'll never go back.
I was also a hardcore Intel hold out. However, I just went with a Hexacore AMD processor and wow...glad I did much better bang for your buck than Intel.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64 these days as well.
:)

Hi Ken,
I've been using Firefox for the past 3 years and love it.
It runs soooo much faster than IE.x.
I just hit R'osity with my IE 8 and it loaded pretty quick....FYI.
Talk with ya soon,
Clint

I'm with Larry F on this one. ;)
Its just way to easy to pop the old religious balloon......blind faith is a sad thing.

Thanks buddy. Its actually the first time I've mentioned it outside of my family.
We were pretty tight and he was a good friend. It hit me pretty darn hard.
My dad was in a similar state that yours is in. My father had a very high IQ...he's a mensa man.
He was so pissed off towards the end. I could see it in his eyes. He had a lot of trouble communicating and keeping his thoughts right. Be he was there until the end .. for sure.
I was very lucky like you that I had the opportunity to tell him everything I needed to before he passed - So I didnt have any regrets. Now he sits in a small urn at my computer desk and watches me work. (wink)
Man...this life and then death thing is a real bitch. (sigh)
Stay strong my friend.

I personally like Carrara Pro from DAZ. But I've been using it since 1998 when it was known as Ray Dream Studio. Its a great all in one program.
If your looking for free I agree with the others Wings 3D is pretty cool. I tried it but went back to Carrara I guess because I'm comfortable with its tools.
Dont forget Blender. Its also a free all in one type 3D application.

Hi Daymond...Oh man!!! That 1090T X6 should be freak'in awesome!!! I looked at them but decided to try and keep the cost down a little so I went with the 1055T X6.
No problems at all man.
LOL - I loaded up Quake 4 the other night. Uncapped the FPS from 63...jacked up the video to 1600x1200 with all the graphics bells and whistles jacked up to the max and was getting 200-400FPS... LOL.
I know its an older game but holy SHIT batman...
Poser 7 runs pretty well. I'm going to get Poser Pro so I can get true 64bit utilization.
Bryce 6 runs like the pig that it always has been in regards to rendering. Still slow as hell.
Carrara 7 Pro runs like a bat outta hell when rendering. Its pretty cool - It does 6 blocks at a time - I assume each core is rendering a block...and it screams when rendering.
So - Yea man, The system is rock solid and I'm very very pleased.
I had to get a new scanner and a new printer since both of them were old and Cannon and HP didnt offer Win7 drivers for them.
Here is what I have so you can compare:
AMD 1055T X6 2.8GHz
8GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz / 4x2GB
ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB GDDR5
Win 7 Pro 64 bit
I hope this helps.

I've been running Win 7 Pro 64bit for a few weeks and love it.
I upgraded to a AMD 1055T X6 system with 8gb RAM and an ATI 5870. Runs like a bat outta hell.
What is UAC?
I installed Poser 7 into c:ArtPoser 7 without any issues.
It runs pretty well. I'm getting ready to pickup Poser Pro and hope it will run faster.
Carrara 7 Pro runs really fast with the six core processor. It puts all 6 cores to work and renders crazy fast.
Anyway - Can you tell I'm really digg'in Win 7.
So what is the UAC thing?
