Hello,
An Update:
I finally got Poser 8 SR3 working. Sort of.
Here is what I did.
I hadn't updated my WinXP OS for awhile so I did that.
Installed IE 7 and the newest Flash player.
Now I don't exactly which one of these was the cure.
SR3 works now but when it first starts up, I get that same error message but if I click on it, it goes away and the libraries appear (like magic). I haven't tested SR3 extensively for crashes but so far so good.
Anyways Thanks to everyone who replied with help.

Thread: Building a machine for under 2 Grand ? | Forum: Vue
Hello,
First off, I haven't bought an off-the shelf computer in about twenty years. My latest was built with parts mostly from online stores. My favorite is:
http://www.newegg.com/
 My suggestions:
Case - One with a lot of drive bays and multiple fans...I like to leave room for expansion and the   more air flow the better
Power supply - 650w+...the newer motherboards, memory, etc. aren't too "green"...they use a lot of juice.
Motherboard - Your choice. I like the MSI and aBit ones.
CPU - You said you like Intel but AMD isn't so bad either. I'm currently running an AMD Phenom X4 940 3gHz and it's plenty fast and not too pricey.
Video - I also prefer Nvidia. Right now, I have a 9500 GT PCIE card and a 8500 on the motherboard. SLI capable but I really haven't found any advatage for this so I don't use it.
Monitor -Â Users choice. 20- 23 inch widescreen is probably enough unless you want to get exotic.
Now, these are just my biased suggestions and I'm sure someone else will have different suggestions.
If you shop around on the net, you can find some good deals.
Any other questions, just ask.

Thread: Black Widow V4 | Forum: Freestuff
Hello,
Sorry about not replying. Got sidetracked.
Yes, I can get to the Live website but that is about all. If I click on the download tab, I get the "webpage not found" error. I've tried several different things but nothing. Very frustrating. It's probably some little thing I'm doing wrong but so far it eludes me.

Hello,
I mentioned before that I couldn't download your meshes and I still can't. It bugs me. In IE8, I get a "can't diplay page" error. I can't figure it out.
Any ideas what I might be doing/not doing ??
Thanks...

Hello,
Really nice figures. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get to the download site. I tried the Flock browser and I get an unknown page. Tried IE8 and got the same.
Any clues ???
Thanks...

Thread: Installed new hard drive and computer running slow. Why? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello,
I have a WD-10EAVS 1tb USB drive and it is very slow. Sometimes I think it is just sleeping. The access time is terrible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I have a Seagate 1tb USB drive sitting right next to it and it is a cheetah compared.
I also have had drives "disappear" and a complete shutdown and restart usually works.
Anyways, good luck...

Thread: asking here also | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello,
Just my 2cents. I upgrade my system awhile back and a salesman talked me into the Phenom x3 8600 CPU. Mistake! A lot of software doesn't like the triple core. Poser is okay with it but Vue6 and Vue 7 would crash constantly. For about $40 or so more, you could get a good AMD quad core CPU. I got an AMD quad core Phenom II X4 940 3.0gHz from NewEgg for about $200 and it runs like a champ.
Anyways, like I said, just my opinion.

Thread: Vue6 Infinite Ecosystem Problems | Forum: Vue
Just an update for everyone.
It seems Vue6i doesn't like oddball 3 core CPUs like the one I had. I upgraded my CPU to an AMD Phenom II x4 940 3Ghz and the ecosystems work fine now.
Leave it to me to come up with unusual problems 8-)
Anyways, Thanks All...

Thread: Poser Unusual Error | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Okay, all of my drives are up and running. I did a little experimenting. I opened the cr2 file I was getting the error on and manually directed the obj and texture files to the Poser folders. That worked. Next, I used the original file and noticed in was looking for some texture files that didn't exist. I removed the references and it worked also. The thing is, this never happened before. Poser just asked for the texture file.
Anyways, just another mystery.
Later...Still digging...

Thread: Vue6i And Poser Files | Forum: Vue
Victoria_Lee: I've used that program and CorrectReference to do just that for poser type files but the Vue vob files are very different.
AVANZ: I don't quite get what you mean. Could you explain a little more?
Thanks...
