Not trying to downgrade anyone, but the comment game in the galleries is more of a social thing than a critical artistic tool.
There are groups of people that regular comment each others artwork, many times including personal messages that have nothing to do with the image posted.
This is a nice thing, I feel it is good to have friends. I am not antisocial, but I post to the gallery for other reasons than comments. Which is good because I get very few anyway.
Again, IMHO, comments have little to do with the quality of the work or talent of the artists.
Thread: Question about lip shine.. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What have you tried to make shine?
I get good results just by adding Glossy shader to Alternate_Specular input.
Thread: Poser Pro 2010 Camera Error... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It sounds like the "fly around view" control is being activated somehow.
It is just to the right of the head figure in camera control. Maybe it stop if you hit that?
Thread: Question about Poser Mechanics | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It would depend on what you call realistic. There is already an option to enable limits from figure menu. I believe it checks the CR2 file to see limit specified.
If you believe that current limits are not realistic then I have no answer.
(sorry if question misunderstood, english mastery lacking)

I don't scale the costume as such, just checking the box that says "include scales when conforming"
Thread: From 1.2mb 3Ds to 12.4mb poser prop | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I am not going to be at computer with Poser for a while, so cannot test.
Not sure, but think I have made prop in past using 3DS file directly.
In the geometry line of prop, I think you can reference 3DS file directly and not have to convert to OBJ first.
Maybe someone can give exact format for this, I can't get to notes now
Thread: From 1.2mb 3Ds to 12.4mb poser prop | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
3DS is a binary format (16-bit I believe, since spec is for 64K facets). 2 byte number could take up to maybe 12 bytes to represent in text file like OBJ (which also has a great deal of whitespace).
Regardless of how they are stored on disk, about the same amount of memory is required for a given complexity in a model.
It is like similar concept on textures. People think that you can save memory by compressing texture (like jpeg), but it has to be de-compressed to load in application memory. Effectively jpeg and bmp take same space in program.

I think it looks more like this:

Thread: Special characters in filenames? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had no problem with filenames in other character sets, but when someone uses the copyright symbol ( © ) in a shader node, it loads fine once and then has extraneous characters after saving it.
Thread: How to make separetaly parts in a poser figure | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Thank you Mikegg.I checked that out.It really seems to be a great software and appropriate for what i want to do.However i i ll probably have to wait.It says that it s coming out on July.
Unfortunately, they do not say which July....
The site does not look like it has been updated for some time.
I checked the forums there and the last update about the Beta was in November 2009.
Appears the only working target is to Lightwave (version not mentioned).
If you want anything else you must use their SDK to write appropriate macro for target system.
To use in Poser, you would have to translate their macro to python script that would rig figure.
To do that, you would have to understand how to rig in the first place
Thread: How to make separetaly parts in a poser figure | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Although you may see something that looks like a skeleton inside, fhe functional rigging from 3DSmax does not export in an OBJ. Poser cannot understand rigs from Biped Studio. You will have to follow suggestions outlined by LesBentley above
Thread: Making poseable figures. Any tutorials? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
have you tried button near top right that says "Tutorials" yet?
There are many there on aspects of Poser
Thread: More dumb questions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm very sure that is not a Poser function.
Cinema 4D has that, in whatever window you are using, select Edit > Frame Selected Elements.

At first, I think you not have morphs for M4 install, but I check and it use custom geometry so you can use even base M4 with nothing (it use channel 50 for inject). All the deltas are tucked away in the geometries folder (is not usual, most people make a folder in the "Runtime/Libraries/" section). Maybe something happen and a reinstall will help.
You also need to enable "use displacement maps" on your render settings or somethings won't look right.
For lights, a standard 3-point setup is good enough to test, but remember that people with ancestor from Africa need cooler temperature light for best look, so reduce green in backlight somewhat to give a light purple cast.
