Since i work full time (not computer related), i did not see the promo 'till i got home. By then, they had the buy something stipulation (there were only 2 pages of freebies by then). Since i never knew about the no strings free thing ('till i read this thread), i willingly bought a lower priced item i needed and recieved a bunch of free stuff, from the wonderful vendors whom generously provided them. I personally can't gripe about it.

Ah, but what happens when Renderosity and other art sites, become fishing ponds for those who seek free art?

More questions. Why is there never anything on the news about this? Is it not newsworthy? Why hasn't anyone else responded to this thread? Doesn't anyone care? Why did the senate pass this bill unanimously (both presidential and one vice presedential candidates are senators)? Ahh, it doesn't matter. It'll be a done deal very, very soon and that'll be the end of your rights to your own artwork and personal photos on the internet.

I'm curious. The internet is worldwide, right? How can one government authorize "legal" theft of artwork from other countries? How can they know the country of origin, without accertaining the artist who created it? Where are all those in the music and movie industries who vehemently protect their own copyrights? Why do they not protest? Why do not other governments protest, to protect the rights of their own artists?

"They'd log in to see a page FULL of links."
Wow, then you'd have a whole chain. Actually though, Renderosity isn't just an art site, it's a business, too. And the way businesses are today, it's all about advertising and hype. More and more you'll see that everywhere you go. Can't run, can't hide it's gonna be there.
Oh, by the way, i used the coupon for Rebelmommy's eyes, too.And what beautiful eyes they are, although not as squishy as i had imagined.

I clicked on the coupon link, saw it was a 12% off, figured cool, i'll come back to that later...wrong! Once you you click on it, it goes away. Oh well.

Thread: Can IBL be used in a 3D environment? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I use ibl/ao lights frequently in Poser with cyclorams, skydomes, and Stonemason sets. (i usualy throw a couple of extra spots in, though) . Here are some examples:

This may not be the kind of thing your looking for or completly answer your question, but it shows some possibilities. Using ibl/ao saves me considerable time in setup and render.

You could use toon shaders in the material room. I believe there are some in the free section, if not, I know there are some in the Rendo marketplace.
Thread: OT -----Those Born 1930-1979 | Forum: Community Center
Each generation is a product of the one before. The younger generation feels "entitled". Parents (feeling guilt over working too much), pamper the children with electronic "babysitters" and elicit the government to help parent and keep them safe The cry, " For The Children" echos through the land. Marketing and politicians play into that theme. The young can"t help, but to feel entitled.
As for me, I have my memories. My first pocket knife (and my first girlfriend), when I was 5, found it in an abondoned building (the knife not the girl). Eating raw sugarcane on a Kentucky farm, at 6. And climbing upto the roof on the outside of a 4 story apt. in Chicago, at 9.
How did we survive?
