You put your clothes on, stand in front of the mirror and sigh: "Weren't these supposed to be conforming?"
Thread: Organization of Marketplace | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Quote - Funny, I just posted a thread in the suggestion forum yesterday about this. Maybe if enough people post there too, they might do something.
Â
I just did :-)
Thread: Sub categories in the market place | Forum: Suggestion Box
I second this!
The old marketplace had excellent possibilities to filter products based on base figure, theme etc.
The new marketplace totally lacks these possibilities. I can't find anything anymore.Â
Example: If I wanted to find Genesis 2 based characters, I could easily filter them out at the old Marketplace. Now I can only filter on "characters" under "3D figure essentials" and I get a search result including all characters, regardless of base figure... 77 pages with 3080 search hits... Totally useless.
A fundemental rule for running a good store:
**Make it easy for the customers to find what they want! **(Otherwise they go somewhere else where it's easier to find what they want...)

The possibilities to filter products is terrible in the new Marketplace, a disaster compared to the old Marketplace.
Example: If I wanted to find e.g. Genesis 2 based characters, I could easily filter them out. Now I can only filter on "characters" under "3D figure essentials" and I get a search result including all characters, regardless of base figure... Totally useless.
Want to filter on M4 clothing? Not possible anymore... You can only filter on all clothing!

aeilkema... Just because you can do something with a machine doesn't mean it's a less impressive feat to do it manually.
This was about using the artistry of Glen Keane in a new way that hasn't been done before. The result is a great little film. Yes, you can do animation in other ways and in more efficient ways, but it would not be a Glen Keane animation if he's not holding the pen...
Sure, they will not revolutionize the way cartoons are made with this, but that was not the intention.
Thread: Bug in downloading a model from Daz | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
To use Victoria 6 in Poser, you need the DSON Importer (Free from DAZ).
There is documentation on how to work it all out with DSON at DAZ, but when using the Install Manager you need to make sure that all files end up in the correct location. In your case, the Install Manager assumed you are running DAZ Studio and installed accordingly... that will not work.
To use Victoria 6, you need the Genesis 2 base figure. It is provided with the DSON Importer download.
Genesis 2 is not a native Poser figure. The Genesis 2 files are DAZ Studio files, but the DSON Importer makes it possible to use it in Poser via "Poser Companion Files" and these are in a regular Poser runtime, accessible from Poser.
I made sure everything ended up in a separate runtime for Victoris 6, I think that is the preferred way. Don't mix Genesis stuff with your regular runtime...
I created a separate folder for both the DAZ Studio files and the V6 runtime and made the Install Manager install everything Genesis 2 / Victoria 6 related to that folder. It worked.

Amazing! :-)
What immediately strikes me is Glen Keane's ability to capture the human body in motion.
Imagine drawing indiviual drawings that together creates such a seamless effect of movement that looks absolutely natural and so beautiful!
Thread: Store Revamp | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Is it just me not understanding the new store or did they seriously limit the filter possibilities? Before I could filter on e.g. "V4 clothes" ocr "Genesis 2 characters"... now I can filter just on "clothes" or "characters".

**Make it easy for the customers to find what they want! **(Otherwise they go somewhere else where it's easier to find what they want...)
Thread: Being overly prude in the marketplace | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - The thing is that a lot of people browse at work during the day, so an image this would be perfectly fine to view at home, would be innapropriate to view with ones office workers around. A matter of context. eg. a bikini if OK to wear at the beach, but for the office?
Then maybe people shouldn't browse the Marketplace at work? I can't see why content at Renderosity necessarily must be adapted for browsing in an environment where it's unsuitable for browsing in the first place.
Likewise, you don't design a bikini to be suitable for office use. You design it for beach use and therefore it is, per definition, not suitable for office use...Â
Thread: ? Reality2 and/or 3, does it come with human skin presets? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Paolo explains it nicely as usual!Â
Let me just add from my own experience with Reality 3:
You can use all your skin textures you use in Poser. Reality will handle them beautifully. In some cases, as with M3, it fails to identify the skin and automatically set the material to "Skin", but that is easily fixed manually in the Reality material editor. For e.g. V4, the skin is handled perfectly without any manual intervention.
Reality will also apply Sub-Surface Scattering to the LuxRender "Skin" material, so no need to use advanced skin shaders in Poser for SSS. Just use a simple texture map for the skin and Reality will do the rest, SSS will be added automatically
Thread: How can I reveal hidden objects in Poser 10? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you open the Hierarchy Editor (you'll find it in the Window menu), you can see a list of everything in your scene.
The little Eye icon reveals what in the scene is hidden or not. If it's grey, just click it and you'll unhide that object or part of a figure again.
Thread: Does anybody still use Poser 6?..and questions about other Versions? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
After some absence from Poser, I installed my old Poser 7 on my 64 bit Win 7.Â
It worked, but a lot of small, annoying things happened that I don't remember happening with the original install, which was pre-Win 7.
Upgraded to Poser 10 and now everything works like a charm.Â
Thread: Conforming shoes on Poser 6 help!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Did you conform them after you loaded them? Select "Conform to..." from the menu and make sure they are conformed to V3 and they should "jump" into place. Where they end up immediately after they are loaded doesn't really matter, they will always load to the spot the creator of the shoes has defined, no matter where in the scene you have your V3.
Thread: v3 character | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, there is, the injection pose file is just a text file and you can make it manually in e.g. WordPad, but it takes some time and it's pretty boring (at least in my opinion, LOL). If you have a INJ pose file from another character you can always open the text file and see how it's put together.
