Thread: Higher score!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I agree totaly, the system needs change. Over the last couple of weeks and most appearant over the last few days almost every post rcieves 5.00. This is due to the fact that there are a number of people who constantly dish out 5's left and right. I myself try to be honest and give constructive critics when rating and that does not necessarily mean giving a five. Although giving lower scores when so is motivating that often results in flaming and anger from the person recieving critics. This would mean that there should be some cleansing of some of the users but that is a whole different matter. Change the rating system, add a jury or whatever. Right now, the system insults the real good artists on the forum (not referring to myself), a 5 is a spectacular composition of quality that is almost impeccable. That is the meaning of a 5. Kristian

I don't know Sharkey. Not all people are qualified to give opinion about Technics, light and so on, this limits the opinion to educated artists. When you just have one thing to judge, less experienced people can tell what the overall impression of the picture. But maybe we can meet halwways, if we get a panle of "judges" (se my above post) they could have the possibility to place opinions based on Technics/Light/Overall. What do u think? Kristian

A agree that perhaps increasing the scale would present a more fair solution. But couldn't the change result in even more palcings of high 10's just because people tend to think to highly of pictures. "Wow, that wa really cool picture I will give it a ten right away!". Im not sure wht to think, maybe there should be moderators on the forum who sort out bad judgements and people who put low marks without explaining why. Perhaps apoint a range of "judges" from the more experienced of the members. These people should be be able to really analyze the picture and tell what needs improvement. These people could be more honest and direct because of their title. People would know that they know what they are doing and react thereafter. You could have another checkbox in your postscreen to disable/enable "Judge"-comments... What do u think Kristian

Thanks for all the input, it makes me happy when people appreciate the work you put down. You are right, actually I was thinking about the bumbs and wrinkels, maybe even some cool textures for the clothes - right know they look kinda plastic. But that comes later on, the hair was created in photoshop using a Wacom tablet, so I think I will be able to create the hair in different angles aswell. Reason I hid his face was that I haven't applied an asian face morph yet, must find a good one first. Thanks again for the necessary input Kristian

Thread: Bathing Girl | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
First of all I would like to thank the people yaking their time to comment my work. You input is greatly appreciated. I can agree that the image looks a bit out of gamma, the though behind it was to create som kind of "morning fog feeling", maybe I should have made that clearer somehow. A whispy cloud perhaps? somewhere around the girl....maybe I will try that. What do the rest of you think? Regards Kristian
Thread: Poser 4 crashs when rendering | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well...its just the maked woman and the "conformed curls", I have tampered a bit with it though and have unchecked casting shadows on the hairstrands - however that doesn't seem to cause any problems. It doesnt seem to do any difference what type of output I use when rendering movies. I does the first fram and crashes on the second. At home I don't have this problem....strange isn't it? My grumpy mind is screaming for an update or a patch or something. Has anyone heard any rumours about this? Regards
