Thread: WIP Gallery | Forum: Community Center
How about a limit of 3 images? I like seeing the raw images getting better with each iteration, and replacing them means you can't fairly compare the two. But now we get into 'attention span' issues, which is OK as long as I don't get distracted by something shiny and ... Ooooh, pretty ... Where was I?

The dress flared at the bottom looks unreal. More length? Less flare? Also, it seems a bit too ... symmetrical. (Mea culpa too.) Dunno what the backdrop is (other than a backdrop) but if this is just a portrait image it doesn't matter. (Georgia O'Keefe?)

That's a scroll on the sand. Yeah, I need to improve the sand and shadows. I'm using the Desert terrain, flattened on the y axis (so what's with the shadows?)
Thread: Dethblud joins the ranks, any tips? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Drop the manual for now. Boot up and play with for awhile, then go get the manual. Then stop in for some free stuff and check out the galleries. There are some good tutorials here, too - just click 'Tutorials' on the right ---> Now, go figure. (A little Poser joke.)
Thread: How to hold a CHAINSAW??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Try 'locking' the affected limbs, and only twist/bend from the chest. What you are looking for is 'Circular Parenting' which Poser can't do. And you hold a chainsaw ... very carefully... Couldn't resist.
Thread: Waves | Forum: Bryce
I cheat. I take a terrain and flatten out the y axis so it is about wave-height, then attach one of the watery materials to it. Then I might amplify the bump of the material a bit. Try using one of the fractally generated terrains, ie. not the standard mountain peak.
Thread: Waterfalls and Poser imports | Forum: Bryce
Bryce can import OBJ files, so any Poser obj will do. You can export (as obj) most anything you do in Poser and then import into Bryce, so the sky's the limit. As for the waterfall, you set the bar kinda high. Waterfalls are tough, but I saw a tutorial somewhere. I'll check my archives and get back to you.
Thread: WIP - Dork goes to work | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
OK, so I ain't no farmer. ;) I'll work on some furrows so he doesn't plow under his crops, and better dirt too. I just hadda use the new plow on something. And I still haven't found a proper horse harness yet, the yoke and straps I'm using are too crude. Thanx for the suggestions.

I suppose the forefeet (front feet) have that whitish blaze deliberately? How about a white blaze on the forehead?
Thread: How can I apply a texture to the ground? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
(I sometimes write in 'shorthand.' You should hear me speak...) Yup. Mason's right. BTW, you can't 'tilt' the ground, but you can replace it with a one-sided square (imitation ground?) which can be tilted as needed.
Thread: How can I apply a texture to the ground? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Easy. Ctrl-U (brings up Surface Materials) select GROUND from the drop-down, select LOAD and hunt down your texture.
Thread: black horse texture...what I have learned so far wip.. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There is a 'Coco the horse' texture somewhere (or is it 'Jasper?') It is black with a nice real-world-type sheen to it. I'll try to look it up in my archives (wouldn't want to upload it without artist's permission.) But the picture above looks OK.
