THat may have been it, the elongated poly... I noticed in Maya that the little emitter tips were one long poly cylender going from one end to the other, so I just made it short, put it in place and duplicated it fot the other end, and it seemed to be fine.... I ALSO unchecked " keep normals" when importing too, not sure if that helpped at all

Quote - What graphics board/chipset do you have and what's your driver version?
the graphics is nividia g-force 6100 n force, also running a directx 10
I am doubting really that it's a problem graphic related, again as my 3ds max9 and Maya ( both have much greater demands for rendering) run flawlessly, Im pretty sure its a issue with Vista and Poser itselfsome snag in it someplace

Another option, though I prefer to make most of my models from scratch in Maya, then import them in obj format, Sence you are working with a 3DS format I suggest loading it into another modeler/render like MAX, Maya etc, Rhino supports 3ds formats, and they have a fully working trial too, so that is a suggestion as well
Thread: Creating clothes from OBJ files | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Another quicky here.. When I loaded it to try again, I get it resized to basically fit I do nothing else to it after that, just basically line it up as best I can as is I open Cloth, and select the "prop" and create a new group, I then go to make it collide against James Im not sure what else poser 6 requires to actually require it to drape correctly, infact for what I've gotten, I see NO result, or the " prop" vanishes now If anyone wants I'd be more than happy to send them the actual OBJ file, perhaps someone with abit more expereance in this particular program can tell me where Im going wrong, or what I may need to do/fix
