Well than it's just the newsletter. How i know is I get two of them and I get twinned spam also, Matching pairs with all different dates of being sent. As if that was possible.  The Merchant Newletter and the Weekly Newsletter.  We are going to try a few tricks on the next Newletter.

If it makes no sence read the post one up.. Like I said I don't get a lot of spam but I seem to get a increadable amount the same exact time the Renderosity Newsletter shows up.. Time to fix it.  The problem is here, the problem is somehow Renderosity.. !

I am a admin on my own BBS. This is called script injection and it took me a long time to figure out how to stop it. It's not people, it's spam bots. They join, they spam. On my site they get auto banned instantly for life if caught. And boy do they get caught. I've got thousands and thousands of banned ip addresses. That sort of slows them down but the thing that stopped them cold is a script I added called key word. ( or something like that ) Basically it's a password that is posted on the site somewhere along with instructions on the sign up page of where and how to find it to enter it in the key spot. Without that password you can't join and bots can't read so it stopped them cold. And a added bonus the password is just a picture of the word so it can't be scanned by a bot. Only a human could read it. Don't know the word you can't submit the application so you can't join. Simple. You have to add the script yourself though cause it's not considered a bug in the BBS software.

Yes search engines are why these post show up. They change the results of the searches if they have enough hits.

Nice that Firefoxes spelling checker no longer works here ay ? Are we learning anything yet ?

Something is up. Last months Renderosity News letter showed up and I got 64 spam mails with it. I usually get maybe 3 spam tops a day. Usually none.

Ok maybe a quark I though so I just waited. Todays Renderosity newsletter showed up along with 41 spam mails.

There is something wrong with this site. It's like a copy of the Neweletter is being forwarded to somehere where the e-mail address is read and you get a instant spike in spam.

I sent them off a e-mail but I don't know if they will do anything.
Easy for them to test it though.

I only get the spam flood spike when the Newletter shows up. That e-mail address only recieves Renderosity mail. I use different acounts for my regular mail for years now.

Somebody discovered a bug in the torrent version that was preventing it from updating. The beta at the bottom there seems to have fix that problem so if you installed the official torrent version you may want to get the new beta torrent instead. Seems to work just fine. I have new sheep to look at now. Some are awesome.

Two things I recommend. View them full screen and edit the sheep images so they are way smaller.  They're indexed png files though so you might want to make a back up of them first. I made mine smaller and offset it so it appears only on the bottom right hand of the screen instead of dead center blocking the view.

Thanks, Well I've been around just not posting much. Our friend is missing.

There is no difference between the pro and free version as far as res is concerned. I just thought I'd point that out. It has features that are not available in the free version but the images and data base are the same. You can go to: http:.bbs.keyhole.com And sign up and then click on the "in the news" forum for the latest overlays always. Violence is always a sad state of affairs. It's no way to solve a problem.

It's PSP. It's not using standard file formats. Been there done that. You could use Xnview to convert the images. It's probably saving thumbnails along with the image. I think you can turn that off though. I do the select all instead. Um the default image size is not set big enough for the paste. It's not photoshop. Open new, check the default size. Make it bigger before you do the paste.

The models you speak of are not from E-On so ask those companies. There is millions of FREE models already around that can be imported into Vue already just look in the back room for links and do a google. Vue Trees are superior so why import stuff from Bryce? It can't be done anyway. Do you get Value for your money? Yes. This program actually works and works well. You'll never look back. The grass is greener on the other side. Walk into the light !

Take a picture, make it seamless. I could do it for you if you can't do it that perfect.Bigger is better. Use it to build a terrain then cover it with the picture. Add the picture to the bump layer and give it some. Render. No smell though. Could add a few leaves on a new layer like above then. That would work

I'd check your images. They could be borked. Like thumbnails stored inside for instance. Something unexpected. Try a tiff off the disk.

Oh remember if you do do that when you reboot it will take a few mins to put things in order after that. Very Very important that you do not interrupt that most vital step or Poof data gone !!!!!
