file_235649.jpg

Rendered in V5I(latest release). Saved as .tiff. I opened in Paint Program & when I say load selection it does NOT select the whole image :(. This has not happened prior to this release. Is this a bug??? Sorry for the size of the image but wanted to show the selection & the paste. TIA

I'm not sure what the problem is. You are trying to load the selection from the .tiff file? Ummm, in the left window, it looks like the selection is masked. Don't .tiff files come with a mask layer?

Yes.....Render/save as .tiff/open PSP/load from selection... The pic on the left shows the selection & the pic on the right shows the selection as a new image.... ? is why is saving as .tiff NOT encompassing the whole flower? I've never had this problem before :(

I'm clueless. It is hard to see the whole flower from your screenshot. What parts of the flower don't get selected?

There's always a work-around. You could use .bmp format and in PSP add a layer from the flower's alpha that was created by Vue 5i.

The buds of the flower are not being selected. Will give your solution a try sittingblue...Thanks! Was thinking of just saving as normal & selecting from that point on on...hope that makes sense ;)

It's PSP. It's not using standard file formats. Been there done that. You could use Xnview to convert the images. It's probably saving thumbnails along with the image. I think you can turn that off though. I do the select all instead. Um the default image size is not set big enough for the paste. It's not photoshop. Open new, check the default size. Make it bigger before you do the paste.

Could it be that it is rendered in layers as well? And that you have the elements in different levels?

Don't save as 16-bit TIFF - PSP can handle these files. Save the file out as a photoshop file which PSP does handle quite well (masks and transparencies)

I rendered this item alone & it was saved in 8bit format :) I'll try the saving as Photoshop. That said by saving as .bmp I can then select the whole image as it should be. Thanks for the help :)
