Thanks Carolly! I read through that link and it sounds quite helpful, so I bookmarked it and will use it to help when I do get time to work with my runtime! ;) -Tif

yeah when I am back in the default runtime my menus are fine, its when I am in the large runtime that things go all screwy....my M3 folder is pretty empty, but my V3 and Aiko folders are like bursting... Most of my layers of nesting are like this -Runtime-Character-!V3-Folder name -Runtime-Pose-!v3 clothing- folder name-(and sometimes its a fourth tier for the clothing I have large texture collections for) ect :P

well after talking to a helpful person in another forum I am to the conclusion now that it may BE my large runtime thats messing up my menus....it sounds like I have too many folders.....unfortunately I do not have time to go through now and weed everything out to seperate runtimes (and I'm actually quite fond of how I have it set up now anyways, I know right where EVERYTHING is, LOL :P) but if anyone knows of any way to get around this without having to seperate my runtime, please feel free to let me know ;) Who knows....I may just go back to P5 for a while, this is getting to be so much more work and the only extra features I had really been using were some IBL's and the area preview :P I just don't know.....:::shakes head:::

sorry for the double post, for some reason my edit option is missing....anyways, I just tried the reinstall on a new drive.....a lil improvement, but still oddities...I can at least delete items and quit the program now without mass chaos....my menus appeared to be fixed at first, but after I linked it to my main runtime (which I am not re-doing, its around 40 gigs which I know is big but I am sorry I am just not reinstalling all of that :P) now the menu's are back to doing their weird hairbrained stuff again....so I don't know if it is just something in my runtime it doesn't like, or what :P

I am trying to run mine on an imac G5, 1.6 mhz, 1gig of ram, 160 gig hard drive (mostly empty) with my runtime coming off an external drive,I am pretty sure the video cards are up to date (I just got this puter two months ago.....if they are not, how do I check that?) OSX 10.3.9 (with no plans of buying Tiger any time soon.....and this was NOT a Tiger required application when I bought it, just let me say) I am going to try to do a fresh install on a drive that has never had poser on it all and see if that helps, but other than that I can't think of what may help? I honestly may have sounded grouchy above but I honestly just want a program that works :(

hmmm....it would be nice to have the mac version now, but I would prefer it works...and I guess I kinda suspected it was too good to be true that it would be ready now....I just hope in their fixing it for the people who are on 10.4 Tiger, they don't break it for those of us who have chosen to stay on 10.3.9 for now :( ....I dont' know how all this works, I have to admit that, but these two OS versiones don't seem all that compatible lately :::is very nervous:::
Thread: OT, but HAVE to vent about some LOUSY Parents! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That story is really sad, I really feel for that little girl :( I probably woulda bought the syrup for her too honestly. The dad sounds like he had no priorities either, I mean going to jail is NOTHING to brag about, so that right there totally shows his character. And the mom should really be ashamed of herself, she really should have stepped up and made sure her daughter got the syrup, it is her responsibility to care for and protect the poor kid! :( As for the comment about the bad parenting being brought on by children in the past years being latchkey kids and stuff, I don't think that is completely accurate either, I was a latchkey kid for the first half of my life, and spent my teenage years in foster care (due to a severely neglectful and abusive mother, who it took years to get away from). I grew up, got over it, am married now to an awesome man and we have two children, who I honestly think I am a fantastic mom too.......instead of using the past as an excuse, what a lot of parents need to do, is look at the mistakes their parents made, and make sure they DON'T make the same mistakes. Once you are an adult the responsiblity falls on you to make your own descisions and decide what kind of person/parent you are going to be, regarless of how you were 'raised'. To Brynna, that story about your Bobby at the walmart is really cute! I can only imagine the scene though! ;D -Tif
