The correct texture maps are in there also. You just have to paint them. There is a problem with the map/mesh that makes the neck show through the collar of the shirt. Best way to handle this is to paint the texture onto that part of the neck.

You can just replace the head, then make the morphs within Poser using the magnets, but the mouth/jaw morphs should ideally be done in a modeller, then imported as morph targets.

UGH! Techno-babble :) Although I may not understand the whole thing, I get the basic idea. One thing I noticed about Poser 4's Rotation Orders and Heirarchy setup stuff is that the Rotation Orders resource file (StdGimbals.txt in Runtime/figures) is wrong; the shoulders are different from each other, causing Y Rotate on one shoulder to be Front/Back but Bend on the other shoulder. Another problem is noticed when you view the joint parameters of a Poser preset figure; the rotation of the foot is different than what is applied when you create a custom figure within Poser. Or at least the indicator thingy is different. Z Rotate is still Z Rotate, but I'm suspicious :) Newc

Ewww, YUCK! :) The John Carpenter effect? I haven't seen it, but I would imagine that's what it is. Try deleting the rsr files from your Runtime/Geometries folder (but FIRST, 'Find' all files in Runtime/Geometries, they should be listed according to name, so you can see which rsr files do not have an OBJ file to match them. If not, DO NOT delete that rsr file) This may or may not work, and if you're not in a hurry, wait for a more definite reply. Newc

Can you post an example pic to see how the texture is messing up? Kinda makes it easier to diagnose if the doctor can see the problem, y'know? :)

Did you apply it as a texture map or a transparency map? If you applied it as a trans map it should be transparent. If you did it as a texture, then the trans sliders will have no effect. If you applied it as both, try just the trans.

I run NT4 with SP3, and only got the Out of Memory error the first time I ran P4. After that, no problem. I tried installing SP4 and the system would not even run. It kept crashingon startup. When it finally did start I uninstalled SP4 and went back to SP3. Have you tried setting the priority higher?

There was a texture set a while back (P3) by Pavel, called (oddly enough) Pavel's Womans (number 1-8), but I'm not sure where you could find them now. Actually, everyone at the magazine was playing it constantly, except the editor. He was the one calling it Advanced Rat Killing, because that's all he ever saw anyone doing in it. They had a cool spoof ad of all the 3D hunting games. It was called Rat Hunter 3D. You could kill Giant Sewer Rats with your choice of high-powered weapons. The whole issue was hilarious, because everyone mentioned the game and the editor in their articles. Reading all the little comments they were shooting back and forth was hialrious. Another cool thing about this book is they have articles like 'Drinking and Driving Games', where they get drunk and play driving games to see how it would affect them. One guy who was already plastered before he got there wiped out and rolled down a hill before he crossed the starting line in one of the Indy car games. It was too funny. I saw the new issue at the store; they're doing 'Drinking and Flying games'. I bet that's funny. Newc
