I'll take another look in the geometries for the rsr but the obj I'm trying to replace is the base model. This is the one ref by - figureResFile:runtime:libraies:character:Monster... The idea was to get away from having many objs Let see what the day brings - Thanks to everyone for your input. OR>
Thread: Swaping one broken obj for another | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for the suggestions. I think the scale is ok because I imported the new model.obj into Poser just to make sure it can be read/seen in Poser and it loads fine. I also always shut down Poser to make sure the changes take. I did looked to see if a *.rsr files was the problem but I could not find one for my model. I must be missing something but I just dont see it maybe tomorrow.

What I was trying to fix was a seam break between the neck and the head obj. It seems that one of my vector/point is not snapped to the head vector so the weld is not sealing fully to head. So what I did was exported the body out of Poser and snap the one point on the neck to the head and export it out (Im using CD4 a bit of a pain). OR>
Thread: Mimic 1 vs Mimic 2 issues | Forum: Poser Technical
That would explain why models without Head Bend,side-side, ot twist still work with Mimic 2. I guess what I'm looking for is more infomation on what it takes to make a Mimic ready model. I've seen the older info on Mimic 1 but very little on Mimic 2. My main problem it the wild bends,side-side,twist I get when I use Mimic 2 with some models (this same model works fine with Mimic 1). Thanks

Thread: Poser Python Wish List | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
I would love to see the following scripts. A script that would let me modify a mimic file. Sometimes the files need to have bigger lip movements (Cartoons), more blinks, more eye movements etc. Another scripts class that would be great is physics effects. It would be great to have Vicki walk around and have her hair flops automatically and correctly depending on her walk/run/head turns. This same idea on different body part (like her breast). This can also work for any large body part that should move when you do an animation. (I've seem this somewhere but it was just a specific model). I would also like to have one that took care of breathing effect, eye tracking/movements and other common thing a human may do (like sneezing, wheezing) - with control options. Oarman
Thread: Poser animation at IFilm | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Neither. You can pay them but you can try and see if they will pick your animation up(for free). Which is what I tired (and it worked). Check out their process at their web site (IFilm.com). It can't hurt to try. Thanks for viewing. I hoping that folks also rate it and review it. The next one will be better (I'll take my time on the next one). You can also see some more stuff (Flash) at my web site - www.timeview.com Thanks again
Thread: Are there poser animations with a story in them, out there? | Forum: Animation
I have coming out at iFilm. It is a baby step but the next one will be better. This Monday (July 23, 2001) a short video animation I did will be premiering at IFilm.com ("Toy's Chance" see url below - it will be live Monday). http://www.ifilm.com/ifilm/product/film_info/0,3699,1387206,00.html This started as a test animation because I wanted to try some animation & DV techniques. I wanted to do a full short animation but I didn't have the time. I decided to make a short trailer (about 2 minutes) as a preview. This wasn't meant to be the one I was going to release but here it is anyway. The next part will have better production value and animation. The version that is premiering is a PG version of the tale. If it goes well, I will continue working on it (but it may not stay as PG as this version). Please give me some feedback I'm trying to get as many eyeballs to go over to iFilm.com starting next week to check out the flick. So please pass this information to anyone that you think might enjoy it. Thanks, Orlando orlando@timeview.com timeview@timeview.com
Thread: An animation trailer | Forum: Animation
Thanks - Making the trailer was fun (but a bit of work). I used Poser, Mimic (some hand lip sync), Bryce, Cool Edit, Premiere and After Effects. I'm not sure if I will finish it (it was a test). Thanks again OR
Thread: Making the movies and The 4.03 Upgrade. | Forum: Poser Technical
I think I'll do the same with the poser patch. The problem I'm having is that I don't get the Shadow or Map Size dials when I create my own lights. I understand what you mean but I don't get the dials I expect. Has anyone seen this before? OR>
Thread: Making the movies and The 4.03 Upgrade. | Forum: Poser Technical
Thanks, that helps big time but one last silly question? When I create my new light (Sun or Spot) I get a bunch of new dial controls but Shadow and Map size are gone. what am I missing - Thanks again
Thread: Making the movies and The 4.03 Upgrade. | Forum: Poser Technical
I can't seem to boost the shadow map pass 1024 (both the dial and direct entry reset to 1024). How do you do it? Did you mean setting the resoultion to 8000 or 80,000 (that would use a ton of memory). Thanks for any feedback
