Hey guys! Let her play with all the buttons first. There's a lot them in LW and the interface is not as intuitive as C4D or MAX(to me at least). Ernyoka learns quickly. She's put more stuff out & cool stuff i might add them a lot of more "Experienced" modelers. Your attempt is better then my attempts at clothes. Just don't be daunted by all those buttons. :-) Later Marco

Cool Mark! I gotta eat now. But, if i find any holes i'll just patch them up. You did the hardest part. I'm impressed that you use the "Group Tool". Most people find it hard to work with. I personaly use it often to recut clothes. Cheers & Thanks! Marco

Well, looks like i got betten in speed. yggdrasil, may i use your version? I need to add a few modifs to it... Ernyoka, If i may make a suggestion for your future modeling tasks: Try to use quads instead of triangles. It will make both the slicing of the bodyparts & UVmapping a lot easier for you... ;-) I think i watched the movie more times then the kids at home! LOL Marco

Sam, in the movie, Shrek says to the donky that he's like an onion cause it has layers & ogres have layers... :-O Anyway, got the files & i'm fixing the Robe now. Hi, NetherWorks! Later! Marco

Sam, are you related to Shrek? LOL Me thinks, that PhilC is correct, with respect to Steve. It looks more like "poke through polys" rather then inverted normals... Marco[Who prefers garlic]

Good observation Laurie. Wasn't Mike & Vicky originaly based on employees or employers of DAZ?? :-) I think as we get older, we are less "Self-conscious" & also more at ease with who we are. Me, i still can't stand the mug staring at me in the mirror. LOL Nice rambling! Marco

"Feed me, Simore" Yes, Please Dr. Geep! We are hungry! You just keep feeding us with your wisdom & insights! I have a feeling that your "Fan Club" is bigger then you might imagine... Guffaws? Does not cumpute... Williamsheil, i do understand your POV. Why do you feel the need to repeat the same line over & over... BTW, i don't mind you taking my own words & using them to your advantage. :-) Me thinks, this choice should be left to each person. I love having choices! "Sir, do you want Maple & Nuts or Chocolate ice cream?" Ah! What the heck! Mix them together... Instead of advicating, why not instead use your energies to work on a way to help others understand the pros & cons of each system. And let the chips fall where they may... But, i'm just an old fart, what do i know? Be well! Marco

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time(my belly hurts). Maybe we should divide 'sity in 2? One for each scale conversion... There is nothing wrong with arguing or debating such things. It's actually healthy. Maybe we need to remind ourselves that this is foremost a place for artists to share creations, ideas & POVs... At the end of the day, It's all just polygons, pixels... If we were to put as much passion in our lifes as in this debate... :-) Dolce Sogno Marco

Bill, It as nothing to do with pride! No one is forcing you to adopt Geep's system. He's only offering us an other option. It's always great to have options. I believe it's called "Freedom"... Marco

Yes, Dave! My brain is clobbered with such silly lines. :-) "...We will not go quietly into the night..." Ah! Now, those figure heights make more sense. My commercial involves architectural & mechanical stuff. That means exact scaling across the board... Now, when i get into Poser world, i'm less inclined to measure things, cuase it's "Play time" for me then. But, it's great to have some reference point nonetheless. :-) Marco[The man with half a brain]

Thread: What is a .PHI file????? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
BTW, That thread title is the perfect way to get my attention. It's concise & to the point. And makes it easy for these old eyes to sort through all the rest. No problemo! My pleasure. That's why i hang here, to share! :-) Marco
Thread: What is a .PHI file????? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
PHI builder is just an editor for PHI files. Of course, if you have Pro pack or P5, you just use the setup room to create the bones. I'm a dinosaur, so i stick to what is simpler & faster for me. There's a also "PHI Factory"(By Bushi) which is another PHI editor... There's also another way of creating a figure in Poser. For a simple experiment, just load 3 basic props: a sphere, a Cube & a Pyramid primitive in poser. Place them one on top of the other, then in the Hierarchy window drag each primitive to have a parent & 2 siblings. Then select parent & click on "Make a figure" at the bottom... It's Magic! The one difference from this method & a PHI file conversion is that a PHI file will add a "BODY" part, while the other method will not... Viva Poser's infinite little "Shop tricks"! :-))) Marco
