Thanks so much for picking my image, "Observation". My little angel is an inspiration. All the photos this week are inspiring too. Great stuff!

Although to be noticed isn't the primary reason behind what we do, it's always nice when it happens. Thanks much to all!

Thread: Most Commented Photographs | Forum: Photography
Don't forget to keep in mind that sometimes the most commented pictures are more a result of who the photographer was instead of the photograph. I would love to see a system where the true identity of the photographer isn’t revealed for a full week after a post is made. My guess would be that the amount of comments would change greatly from the current norm! They would actually be based on the true merits of the photograph! Then after a week, we would be able to see whose work we had commented on, and also see how different our commenting patterns had changed. That would really make it interesting around here! Consider that! marshall

I appreciate the responses from all of you. I think I just needed to let off some steam, and God knows Microsoft doesn’t specialize in customer feedback. And yes, I’ve seen the Mac ads on youtube; I still say they are too kind. And I don’t see how anybody can say they are a happy vista user. No matter what you do these damn windows come up asking if you should “allow” whatever function to happen, and you just initiated it. That’s not security. That’s a pain in the ass. And yesterday when it said I didn’t have permission to rename a folder I had previously created, well, that pushed me over the edge. I recently bought an $80 web cam, but now I discover it is not vista compatible either. They did not have to write vista to be so non-compatible with so much existing hardware. And from what I’ve read I’m not the only one having these problems. It's total crap. I just say stay away from it until they take their sweet time in creating the service packs necessary to keep it from being a real hindrance to your computer work, which is exactly what it is. Of course by that time they’ll come out with something else redefining the meaning of user unfriendly! Thanks all. marshall

I must say I was blown away to be included in this fine selection of work (A Slice of Italy). Thought I was below the radar here! Thanks so much to Doug and if any others were involved!!!
