Wow thanks guys that is the opposite of what I had to do with the past version. Â
I know the learning curve will be big but I really want to be able to use the new features and enhancements. Â I already noticed the lighting was more responsive and more easily adjusted to get very awesome results.Â
I'll be doing tutorials and probably hanging out here a whole lot. Â Thanks so much for your help.

Ok, I'm going to try and be brave and ask probably a really dumb question. Â But I can't find an answer to it and I have searched a few forums and the ever so useful reference manual (tongue in cheek).
I have been using Poser 7.... well just by that you know it is lots of years. Â I just got Poser Pro 2014 and am actually want to keep it clean and only install the characters I use etc. Â So I started with V4. Â Did all the necessary things, initialized her and everything installed ok, except when I open Poser Pro the Daz folder where I would normally find V4 is not in the library? Â The install path was correct it was installing toÂ
C:Program Files (x86)Smith MicroPoser Pro 2014
It is a big step going from Poser 7 to 2014. Â The biggest of which is the library and I'll be damned if I can figure out how to load my new characters in so I can find them and use them.
Â
Sorry if this is a newbie question that gets asked all the time. Â I tried to do a search in the forum so as not to bother anyone but couldn't get a hit.
Â
Your help and patience is greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much
RainbowGypsy

Thread: Quad Core Processor? | Forum: Poser Technical
After much fiddling, I've installed it outside of the program files and it seems to be running with less problems like adding content and morphs etc... Thanks everyone....

I'm so glad to hear that Poser 7 works with the Quad 4. Can you tell me if there are any problems with running Poser 7 on Vista. I just bought a Quad 4 and unfortunately it has Vista on it.Â

Thanks KFG, I thought that Poser wouldn't work with Vista so installed a dual boot and have XP running in a partition just for Poser. Its working like a dream and now I'm cleaning up all my runtimes as they were a bit of a mess on my old puter. Mojoworld renders much faster now too so I'm one happy camper...

Well, got me a Toshiba Satellite X200, and its amazing... of course it will take a bit of time to get everything up and running... Currently partitioning the hard drive so I have a dual boot system - XP for my rendering software, Poser, Mojoworld, and Bryce and Vista Ultimate as thats what came with the laptop. I have Intel Core2 Duo Processor T7100 1.8GHz, 2 GB of memory, NVIDIA GeForce 8700, video memory 512MB, 250 GB of hard drive... and I'm so excited. I just bought the upgrade from Poser 5 to 7 and can't wait to play :) I'm moving to this from my old faithful Pentium 4 so think I may see a bit of a change in processing :) doing a lil happy dance
Thanks so much for everyone's comments and all that you've shared.. I'm with nerd, I can't believe how many versions of Vista there is out there, and I also heard that Microsoft was going to stop selling XP in March 2008. Not sure if thats just a rumour but I sure think thats a mistake until all of the graphic softwares run on Vista..
Off to play set up.... Have a fab day everyone....

I love the use of the fractal as well as her pose, you don't always have to see the face to get a feel for emotion.. As you mentioned some of the black on the sheet, I might also use a smudge tool to smooth the area below where you'll do the touch up for the break through... Just a little can go a long way in adding a soft and gentle feel to the sheet...
Great image, I'd love to see if after you do the postwork...
