I am having the same issue running a new MAC with the Catalina system. I remember that when I loaded Flash it said that Flash would be turned on as needed by a website. That makes me wonder...since Catalina decides when to turn it on and refers to websites, has it been associated solely with Safari and not actual programs?? I also had the developer message when I tried to run Corel Painter 2016.I am running Poser Pro 2014. I too am looking forward to using my new Mac. A short render I did with the basic figure was super fast. I think this may be one for the developer to figure out a better handshake.

Theonering, I had this happen before on several occasions but I don't think the cause is always the same. I have cured it once by simply toggling back and forth between the Setup and Poser room tabs. Sometimes it helps to uncheck show box then restart with use previous state checked. On restart check the box and see if it appears. Hope it works! S

Wonderfully put PhilC and an excellent fix I'd forgotten. I humbly bow before you. And yes Caulbox that is what I have been looking for, and still had not found after having created every kind of screen chaos achieveable through key combinations. Perhaps I should have written them down because I'm sure I stumbled across an Easter Egg or two. I an having both replies converted to stone obelisks which will forever stand on eiher side of my computer. I am also copying them to word pad so I won't lose them again! Many Blessings on you both and best wishes for the Holiday Season. S

Look into the works of Zecharia Sitchin if this topic interests you. He brings up some interesting points about man's evolution, such as the fact that he is almost wiped out several times by climatic and other changes and when he comes back, he is more highly developed instead of being set back. Sudden advances like pottery, the ability to cross breed plants and a 365 day calendar aren't easily explained and often the history of these inventions doesn't follow any discernable pattern of normal advancement. Sitchin also calls into question Gods from other cultures, dieties such as Ahura Mazda, who just happens to be a winged disc. This is very close to what an uneducated person might call a flying saucer. He has a whole series of books that cover this topic through several cultures. Great historical fuel for lots of sci-fi off-shoots S
Thread: Trouble seeing images in Writer's gallery | Forum: Writers
Thanks! I wrote to the staff and they helped me. Turns out that last time I looked up a date I left my calendar set ahead. I also cleared out all my cookies in case any were corrupted. Now I can see pictures...great work everyone!! I'm still having some "Java disabled" messages on other sites but my Java controlls are enabled. For any of you who are suddenly having trouble seeing other sites and or getting a "Java not enabled message, that does appears to indeed come from a microsoft update that mistakes some of the good Java for bad java. The suggested fix includes a voyage into the realm of the registry which I am not quite ready to make, having just reformatted my hard drive a month ago. I'm still loading models into Poser!!! I'm sure some of you have been there. S

Thanks I have even tried to import new files right off the net into Poser and hand place them in their folders. I've been installing stuff in Poser for years so I am pretty good with it. I can import obj's so combined with the fresh off the net stuff I know they aren't corrupted. Its a weird problem and an irritating one since normally Poser's biggest problem is reposting an error message no matter how many times you turn it off when it can't find something. If it can't find the geometries you often have to bomb out through the task manager and restart. Big fun! Sigh. S

Thanks for the return to XP advice. I'll do that when I get home. My hard drive was reformated on the system in question and I installed Poser, so it was more of a new install than a reinstall. I did add in the old Runtime folder which was stored on an external drive. I even tried reloading a file fresh from the net....It still can't find it. I also noticed that Poser installs a back up in the Metacreations folder while the Poser program resides in Curious Labs. Why does it do that?? Thanks for any help S

I ran the XP compatibility changer and it said I could reset the compatibility by returning to the wizard. However XP is not a choice. How do I get it back to XP. BTW...I am having issues with Poser being unable to see any of its geometries after reinstall on my XP system. I've downloaded all the patchs but nothing seems to help....Any ideas??? Thanks Sealynx
