Content Advisory! This message contains nudity, violence
Lately I've been challenging myself to one-day animation projects. Here's one.

Content Advisory! This message contains violence
Here is a video I did in Daz Studio. I was gung ho for making it into a full length movie, ut had a hard time with the voice talent. I might go live action though.I won a camera for this from the SyFy channel -- I think. They never told me which entry won the camera.

Thanks for the comment. The lighting wasn't so special. I just used one distant light. When I go on Glamour shoots, I typically use one light. unless there's water involved. The photos on my website were mainly taken with a single diffused light

It's easier than that if you haven't installed winzip. I just double click the zip file and then drag or copy the runtime folder into the content folder. Windows treats it like a real folder without unzipping it.
Thread: DAZ Studio 3 and Aiko 3 - eyes 'point at' problem | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I have to admit that I never knew that you could use point at with the eyes until I read this post. I will now be using it for portraits. I don't know why I never tried it. DS never ceases to amaze me.

I understand that your issue has been resolved. I was just saying that in your first post, you didn't describe the crash at all, which might be why you didn't get the help you wanted in the other forum. I work in tech support myself, and the primary problem in tech support is getting the customer to actually describe the problem.
I was saying that the first post was like telling a doctor that you don't feel well -- help.
I guess I'm using the wrong analogy.

Magik,
Whenever I have problems with DAZ Studio, they always help me, whether it's that omniscient cat guy or a power user. One mistake I make often is not being specific. People come back at me saying, "I assume you're talking about DS3" because I constantly forget to mention which program is crashing. the DAZ forums cover more than one piece of software. For instance, here, it took you three posts before mentioning the error. I would have either ignored your post or asked you what kind of crash it was. More than likely I would have ignored the post because it would be like leaving a post on webMD and saying, "I don't feel well. Help me. "

Quote - I also had constant crashes and was unable to pin-point the issue so I dumped the new DAZ and am staying with the previous version
Too bad. Version 3 is so much better and faster, I hate going back to 2 and I loved V2. V3 is still technically a beta or just out of it. It does everything I want and more.

Point at should be used judiciously. I've never used point at on a body part. I've only used it with lights and cameras. With camera less than lights. that's because having the camera absolutely point at a human object will cause the camera to wobble and shake as the human moves, since we don't move in straight lines, and since as we walk. we bounce up and down.
I would probably always prefer to select the head and then scroll all the way to the bottom and use the eyes left right and up down and key frames to control the eyes.
In a movie, I might have eyes track a plane flying by, but not a person. We don't track people or really even planes that way. Our eyes dart around, even following something smooth like a plane landing. We'll follow it so much and then dart to center it. Our eyes use very reactive muscles like in grasshopper legs. It's difficult for them not to dart. So smooth or wobbly smooth eye movement will seem drunk. I would also line up most blinking with eyeball movement since I can't seem to turn my own head and eyes much without blinking.
One time I thought I had the whole point at thing beat by having the camera point at an offset of the hips, but as the model walked past the camera, the camera wobbled more and more, both up and down and tilting left and right. It made it seem like she made the ground shake more as she got near. Even when she was far away, doing her modeling moves, the camera followed her too much. She doesn't belong always in the center. that's amateurish. So I shot her approach with a different camera.

Wouldn't that make a character look like a black wraith? Hmmm. Can't think of a way to pull it off except with the materials tab. Make the surface black and remove all ambience and reflectivity.
