Quote - If you're not going to take along a laptop you might concider an image tank. Basically it's a portable harddisk with cardreader. Takes up much less space. I have one and it's just a matter of sticking in the card and pressing a button. Here's an example: http://www.vosonic.co.uk/xsdrive2smart/
I have a very old version of this brand (i.e. much bigger). But it has served me well.
I bought my Creative Zen Vision just for this purpose ... its a PMP (Personal Media Player) with a Compact Flash Slot.

We got up very early for this ... 2 days in a row while we were in the Drakensberg (Zeldie, PeeWee05, busi2ness, hermanv et al). We spent the weekend there (came in from all over the country) and took lots of photos.

Knysna is good. Maybe try and rent something in Sedgefield ... thats in the middle of George/Knysna/Oudtshoorn. Pine Lake Marina is timeshare, but there may be private houses to rent over that period.

Vera (after taking some mampoer from her gourd) talked to the black mamba snake and the poor thing was fumigated and petrified, she could touch its tail (is it a tale?)
Apparently it was a Water snake. Black mambas have a grey body and the name "black" comes from the colour of the roof of their mouth.
