Perspective from a long-time, 20+ year Poser user (since Poser 4, or maybe earlier I forget): I started with Victoria, moved to Victoria 2. Was able to make decent variations, but hoped for improvement with later versions of Vicky. Vicky 4 was a major disappointment. Then DAZ took Vicky series away from Poser anyway. Didn't find DAZ Studio appealing or intuitive so let the whole Vicky series go. Took up LaFemme, invested lots of time and effort and made variations I was happy with. Saw LaFemme2 was out and took a look. Couldn't easily upgrade to LaFemme2 from the LaFemme variations I had made using various morphs and magnets on LaFemme (especially hamstrung by the apparent elimination of BK morphs). Abandoned LaFemme2 before putting in too much effort. Didn't see, in my limited exploration, that LaFemme2 was any kind of significant improvement over LaFemme. It's not like there were apparent upgrades on polygon count so she could be reshaped well, or at least to my personal liking. I'm glad others seem happy with LaFemme2, but she just doesn't work for me. Currently up to Poser 12, but unhappy that my dozens and dozens of python scripts no longer work. I would have assumed someone would make a utility for turnkey updating of older scripts but never found anything that worked. For now at least, sticking with Poser 11 for modeling and python scripting then rendering with Poser 12, using variations of original LaFemme. Everyone has their own Poser history and story, but that's mine so far. I'll keep checking in now and then to see if Poser and LaFemme improve in any way that's meaningful to users like me.

The lower upgrade price from 11 to 13 would be to buy poser 12 then Poser 13 saves you $50. How much lower do you think it should be since a lot of people bought Poser 12 and paid more then the current price of $99? Of course I could complain that I bought Poser 5 and they don't give me an reduced price to upgrade.I started with Poser 3 in 1998, and upgraded either every release or every other release. I recall always getting a decent price to upgrade even if I had skipped a release, as I've skipped Poser 12 (esp due to problems with the Queue Manager). $200 is more than I've ever paid for an upgrade (even adjusted for inflation).
I think an upgrade price from P11 Pro that was in the range of $140-150 would have been about right, and I would pay that if it meant faster renders than P11 Pro and a functioning Queue Manager

I too am disappointed there isn't a reasonably priced upgrade path from Poser Pro 11.
I do a lot of animation so was interested in upgrading to P12 but the P12 Queue Manager constantly fails because it can't find some bom file. So I hoped P13 would give me the faster render times that P12 did while providing a functional Queue Manager.
Unfortunately it appears I cannot test the P13 Queue Manager functionality because it asks for a license number when I send a movie render to the Queue Manager.
I would be far more impressed with P13 and likely to buy it if--
(1) I could verify through the trial version that Queue Manager worked
(2) I could run my huge collection of P11-compatible Python scripts in P13 (or there was a clear, available methodology for updating the scripts)
(3) there was a reasonably priced upgrade path from P11 Pro

Thank you randymm77... I had turned off antivirus and firewall but P13 wouldn't start. Following your advice I went into program controls and added P13 and it still didn't load. But when I added the queuemanager executable as well and then restarted it worked. Thanks!
P13 looks ok so far, but my current license is P11 Pro. With no upgrade option for P11 Pro and a $250 price tag, I probably won't get P13. Poser is fun, but not $250 fun
Thread: Renders not going to Queue Manager remotes... any ideas? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for the thoughtful and helpful reply. Unfortunately, my machines are on Windows 10 and Microsoft removed the Homegroup feature. I checked the permissions and there really shouldn't be anything blocking the remote rendering... unless something happened with the transition to Bondware setup that bricked the queue manager and remote rendering for those of us with Win 10 machines. I'm kind of surprised Bondware hasn't replied or otherwise addressed this question. Hard to imagine I'm the only one trying to use queue manager on Win 10 machines.

My workstations are on P11 version 11.2.272 (64bit Win7Pro/Ult), and my Queue-only remotes are 11.2.5724 (64bit Win7Pro). Networking frames out via Queue works.
Look at your firewall's application rules on every machine. They make a distinction between Queue's rule for home network versus public network, for instance. So, make sure that Queue Manager, FFRender64, and Poser each have permissions both incoming and outgoing.
Join each computer to your same homegroup.
I also have the destination folder within a shared (read/write) folder.
