Last time i did something like that - i duplicated the object i wanted to emit light and transferred it to a light source from the edit menu (little arrow on the right when in edit window) then in the materials - changed it to "light" - then clicked on the other object - that i first duplicated, and then gave that a glass finish - or something transparent (or made transparent with the materials editor) and then clicked ok - and it was done! Good luck

Sarah's Right yet again, that's probably the easiest way - i do it like that when I put tints on objects - saves rendering for coloured lights when you dont need to see the actual globe

you could try some light transparency - and on the part that it is flowing down, put some small rocks protruding from the drop, that may make it look a little more realistic, cause you'd be able to see the rock scape underneath the water!

Looks great - did you use that waterfall tutorial? cause that's exactly what they did - that same perspective, and the fog in photoshop, although your's looks a lot better, although the one thing i always hate with the waaterfalls is that the base of the falls always look fake. Ohh well, and for a first attempt i think you've created a lot of jealous faces!!!! =) Toad
Thread: Bryce - for modelling? Or rendering? | Forum: Bryce
Bryce renders great, but as slow as anything. It is great for creating realistic landscapes also, and also good with lights - although it's light effects are one of the things that make it render slow - complex lighting. Maybe Corel can mke it render fast like Maya hey - we can dream

It looks wesome! Two things though tht i think could make it look the best - 1 - if you had some kind of exhaust with a thin trail of smoke, or a little gas pouring from that fluroescent green laser thingie at the front 2 - the texture on the top looks a little lopsided to the red ball in his head IT LOOKS GREAT ANYWAY!!!!!!!!
