No worries (as the Ausies say), last line is good, Marlene (Echoes naturally follows the sounds of crunching leaves, that were once soft and moist with life).
Was that an angel
Parachuting from on high?
No, just a dead leaf.
I think maybe “leaf” could be difficult (not as easy as leaves)

Hi Hanna
I'm all ears (not literally), but I don't know if you need the go-ahead from a Forum Moderator.
BTW, check your Site Mail again (on right of top banner) There's at least three messages there for you, and you should find some action there, too.

Hi Hanna
I've read your poem, and it's certainly not dull; your words make it bounce. But I do agree it's not an ideal format for graphically enhanced verse, I paticularly don't like the limitations on accompanying graphic size; for instance if you wanted to embed text into a graphic and upload it at a reasonable size that permits people to read it clearly, the best place to post it I think would be the Mixed Medium Gallery. I've uploaded several of my poems as comments with my other artwork in other galleries.
You could become a subscription member to enable you to upload more than one a day. I personally find it adequate. I've discovered there is a phenomenon which you might call "viewers commentary fatigue".
ps Check your Site Mail (top banner again)

Hi Hanna
You don't need to go to the writers gallery (or any specific gallery) to upload. Click Galleries on main banner at top. That brings up the general Art Gallery page. Immediately below the words "Art Gallery" (above the 2 dropdown boxes) you'll see a row of headings, the fifth from the left of which is "upload". Click it to get the Upload image page. Fill in the boxes: Select Gallery = Writers; Select Genre (pick one); I guess if you're submitting to the Writers Gallery You'll be filing in or copying to the Comments dialogue box (you may also have images you wish to upload) if so use the Browse buttons to select the image from your hard drive. At the bottom of the upload page be sure to Select an Advisory (None, Violence, Nudity, Both) and check the Terms of Service box, or your upload wont happen. hope that gets you there.
Regards
John

Warmth from gleaming smiles
Smouldering eyes inviting;
Sunny day women.
With a nod to Bob Dylan

My glass is running over
But the barman keeps on pouring
My head is so hungover
But the jukebox keeps on roaring
My world is falling apart
But this joint I’m in is jumping
The singer is breaking my heart
And the base drum keeps on thumping.
Take me out of this madness
And lend me Solomon’s shoulder
Leave me alone with my sadness
Let me weep until I am bolder.

As jstro pointed out in the fifth post of this thread a cinquain is “...a short, unrhymed poem of twenty-two syllables, five lines of 2, 4, 6, 8, 2 syllables respectively.” ( check above deadgirl1 to confirm this). If you look it up at the Wikipedia site you will find there are several forms, but the syllable form seems to have been adopted here. From the dictionary I found that the word is pronounced; "sing kayn".
