First, don't let the X1 user id throw you.... this is TalleyJC ...I'm using my girlfriends pc and I didn't realize she logged on last......Ok here's the plan....... I'll create each piece as a separate .obj that you can then import. I don't know how to get Lightwave to export UV's but I will create many surfaces so you can use those to texture in posers material settings. I'll add a little more detail to the scanner, like scanning grids along the interior and maybe something like a control panel to the top. I'll also try to create two morphs for the curtains on the luggage scanner that bends one in and one out so you can animate something passing through

Mimic simply generates pose data for given morph targets.... Any "posable" poser figure can be used by mimic if the morph target names are correct. when V2 First came out, her eyes wouldn't blink with mimic because DAZ had renamed the morph. We (animators that is) edited her character files to have the old names back and mimc worked just fine.

Whoops sorry..... Being P5 is so bug ridden I still use it to.... I had that problem with p4 only a few times as well.... What I found was that the shadow maps that were generated swamped the windows swap files in some weird way and not often..... but what fixed it was reboot or defrag your hd..... (both tend to correct the swap files)

TalleyJC on X1's machine..... I've seen the grey track ball when you use a camera that doesn't pan...... for example... right, left , top and bottom cams don't pan so they take the trackball away from you

For anyone that's intrested.... the background I did in Blender in about 2 minutes. I have to say that the old Blender progam was pretty amazing. It is less than 2 meg in size..... its free and it does animation, particles, volumetric light, radiosity the whole works... supports layering and renders faster than anything I've seen.... shame its so cryptic to use.
