Ah just realised I have been forgeting what this is for. We are doing national level Bird flu educational campaigns in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam. So these little guys will get around in all sorts of media. The fact we have so many different facial features and colors here makes a nutral figure better for our use.

Actually the figures we posted above are the ones we would like to use as they fit with the print and TV ideas. No gender just simple blobs like those above would be nice if they had some color in their "Pajamas"

Sounds like you hit the nail square on the head. We do have serious deadlines here. This stuff needs to get into schools and on the TV channels here as soon as possible. Thanks again for the good advice. The little girl is great Ocham! Where do we get her? She isn't exactly what was proposed but could be very useful if we can't find the jelly toons. We have been dreading the possibility of having to model these little guys. None of us are that great on Poser. Imagine a mob of graphic designers and photographers bungling through something very urgent and important doing the best we can ( under a lot of preasure) and having to learn as we go. We don't usually do animations, but this stuff must get out and fast. Would anyone be willing to talk one of us through modeling the little jelly guys?

Thanks Bonni, Checked them out but they are a bit too "real" for what we need. Looking for real basic stuff like a blob with arms and legs, super simple easy to understand and sexless. :o}) Its so silly I am embarrassed to ask around but time is so short and we need them like yesterday.

Your question is actually simple, but may seem complicated. Both meters are trying to tell you what exposure would be needed to render 18% gray corectly. One is most likely reading through the lens seeing a small area where as the other will be reading the entire scene. One way around this is to get a " gray" card and work from what the meter reads from it. The other is to us your hand ( if your "white" or asian it will give you a pretty close exposure. And remember if its worth getting the kit out it's worth bracketing the exposure as a back up. With negs one over one center and one under, with slides that's 1/2 stops between.

After 35 years eating with my cameras I strongly advise you sell the rights to be used for post cards, reprints additional, but retain the rest of the rights ( just in case!). You will go absolutley nuts trying to keep up with who sold what, etc other wise.

Careful with the unsharp mask settings! Otherwise a really nice effort. Next time perhaps a tri pod and longer exposure would allow more DOF. Shane
