It's been quite some time now that i've wondered about starting blender and as I heard the interface got a bit simplified, now might be a good time :p.

I'll start playing with it with the free tuts and see afterwards ;)

From what I understood at the Daz3D forum, Paolo did try to get it to Poser but had the issue of it only accepting Python code instead of the C++ he uses for the D/S exporter.

That is the reason he has less issues with exporting V4 in D/S then in Poser.

I don't know how fast V4 could be exported from Poser using Python,  a good test would be to import her in Blender (I think ther's already a tool to read CR2 files in Blender) and export to Lux using LuxBlend.

Now, from what I see though, the interface of Paolo's Reality look a lot better than Luxblend's :p

I would also love an exporter for Poser (even if I would prefer one for Carrara).

So, wait and see ^^

I'm going to be like most others, as much as I find the character cute, 25$ is far to much for this character. If it was around 15$ (and even then, considering there are no textures that come with her), I would probably get it....

Whishlisted for now, in the hope the price goes down.

Aye Pluton, but I tried a few different things, the only thing I know causes the issue about for sure is when I put the postfilter thing to Sync and 3... I'll post the results tomorow morning after a brief render tonight :p

Hi Plutom,

I can understand this happens, but when Poser tells me the render is finished and the CPU goes to 0% usage, I assume he finished. I even let the computer render a whole night for a simple scene with V4, some cloth behind her and 3 lights with some fairly good settings and still nothing came out of it...

Nvidia Geforce 285 GTX Graphics card
1TB Sata2 HD
Windows Vista 64.

settings used:

Render resolution: 1500 x 2000
Raytracing: 5 or 6
Indirect lightning: Off
Smooth Polygons
Shadows on
Some other stuff I don't know by heart :p

I just tested her in Carrara 8 (64 bit) and... It worked (as can be seen :P)

The hair used is Posh Hair, resized to 95% or something like that and then placed (still not that happy about that :/)

The pose is from TGP Pose set 01 which is really nice ;)
The skin used was Toni skin (without VSS)

Anyway, lots of good work all ^^

Just a question though, I couldn't find the facemorphs and expressions in there, are these supposed to be somewhere?

Ok, so if I move all the runtimes to d:runtimes, I would have no problem anymore...

I'll see if I can get all the content installed in those runtimes again...

I seem to have some issues with my shadows. You'll find the issue in the attached picture.

The settings used were:
 - Cast shadows: On
 - Raytracing: On
      - Raytrace bounces: 1
      - Irradiance Caching: 50
 - Indirect light: On
      - Indirrect light quality: 4
      - Pixel Samples: 1
      - Min shading rate: 1.00
      - Max Bucket Size: 32
 - Smooth Polygons: On

I tried as well with the settings described above, but Poser seems to crash on those settings. Let it run a whole night without Poser advancing...

No problems experienced at the moment on Vista 64 home.

There is a problem when I put the raytrace bounces on more than 2 it seems to crash, but not sure if it's crashing or just taking ages...
