Hey Mehndi, I think respect has gone out the window here. Legume has tried to cut me down over a comment I made over one of his pics a while ago. While there were others and have been others commenting negatively to his work, he found it in his heart to single me out of the crowd and send a very nasty e-mail to me personally. No IM, an e-mail. If it was his intent to piss me off beyond belief, then he was successful. My argument was the fact that yes, I do respect peoples views and opinions over images posted here. I did at one time have artwork posted here for comment, but I received none. I realize not long after, that most people. not all wanted more T&A. There are zillions of T&A sites on the net, so why do they have this need to see "virtual sex" here at renderosity? I know there is a fine line between art and porn, but come on folks, things have gotten outta hand. Back to Legume: after his e-mail (which I will never forget), he later became AOM. Now I to know that AOM is based on people's votes, but I looked at the competition, and I see that there really wasn't any because everyone was voting for just about every Legume pic! I don't know if it was retaliation towards other artists or what, but that too has gotten outta hand. As for my original post in this thread, it had nothing to do with Legume until he felt it necessary to post a pic (childish at best) and then continue to badger me. Legume if you read this, I have now found your posts funny, nothing more. You keep posting, I keep laughing. BTW, Mehndi, it is you who hasn't got a clue. Stay outta this one.

It seems that the two folks above here haven't got the message. This thread was supposed to be added to the lot for Holyforest's thread, but it was locked (I wonder why). Soooo, I took things a step further. You know, to egg on the rants, kind like the way Legume posts sick twisted art and allows folks to get upset and post negative remarks towards him. Guess that's why he's the AOM. Of course, by the way he has so graciously replied to my thread, with once again, more narrow-minded, sophmoric banter, he should also get the Ass Of the Month! You see, no matter what is said around, here you can't get kicked out. I figure the admins are laughing their asses off right ow reading this stuff. It probably gives them something to do throughout the day. Since Legume was once an admin (which I understand now), he has "friends in high places" to allow him to run rampant throughout the site. If you have so much pull around here, why not kick me out? I welcome it. It would be the icing on the cake and it would show your true colors once again. How does it feel to be worshiped by children?

I would be at least respectful that if you want to bash people or countries for that matter, that you translate your comments to english!

Try editing the icon you use to start Poser. Right click on it and go to properties. A new dialog box will appear with some tabs at the top. Click on the shortcut tab and you will have some text boxes below. Look for the run section. See if "normal window" appears or not. If not, selct it by clicking on the down arrow. If it is there, you may have to resort to manually changing it from maximized to windowed.

I guess it boils down to morals and what is deemed appropriate for posting in a particular gallery. I just received word this morning from someone who is a very well accomplished artist that they are no longer posting here at Renderosity due to the flamers and those who don't appreciate what art really is. This debate will go on until the end of time, but the reality is that rules had been set up here about posting and some have pushed the limits. It's a shame that it's not enforced, and thusly others get sucked into these discussions and ultimately bad blood is formed. I for one am disappointed and have made my decision to no longer post or view stuff here anymore. There are plenty of other places on the net to post that those who view or post have respect for fellow artisans and appreciate the work being posted/viewed.

Ok, I stand corrected. I need to know how to get Poser to create an entry in it's menus with a picture of the object (not dure what the exact file format type is).

While I am an avid user of Microstation, and exporting to DWG or DXF for AutoCAD doesn't work for crap, using AutoCAD to build a 3D model from 2D is rather easy. Since you are already in a 3D environment on AutoCAD, it is as simple as extruding the walls to a desired elevation, but you must have the 2D walls as closed shapes for it to work. Once your transformation is complete in AutoCAD, and depending on version, you should be able to export to a Wavefront OBJ.
