Thread: tempus finivit Poser? | Forum: The Break Room
It appeared that Poser might be able to come back, but once again an inferior figure was trotted out, and the only voices I heard were fawning praises. "But he has no clothes!!!" I wanted to say, but figured it would be impolite and insensitive to do so.
Then the great vendor exodus was forced, and it looks like there's no coming back from that. What a terrible decision it was to let the bean counters mess with the artists. Tragic idiocy. What we called "community" was actually only a few dedicated people who engendered goodwill and esprit de corps. Once they saw that the bottomliners had replaced the lovers, they left, and this is what we've got.
Actually, death would've been less tragic, cuz it happens to all, and it has been overcome. Stupidity, however, lasts forever.
Thread: OT: A few words... | Forum: The Break Room
After reading the original post, I was surprised to look at the date and see what a different world many people (thought they) lived in back then. True freedom of speech can exist only where absolute truth is not only agreed upon but submitted to. Philosophies based upon lies cannot allow free speech because they are quickly revealed to be false and, therefore, worthy of derision and contempt. Only the Truth can fearlessly allow fools, cowards, and blasphemers a megaphone.
A population that insists on believing lies and requiring others to pretend to believe them is demanding THEIR OWN subjugation.
Thread: Clearance Items Status Restored to Normal? | Forum: Community Center
Thanks for the backstory, @PandaB5.One day, the ever-changing Renderosity management team decided to send all products that hadn’t sold in x number of months to clearance. Without promoting clearance or giving vendors half a chance those products were then removed to “archived” status shortly thereafter.
Now an archived product is only available if you click on the vendor’s store (or perhaps have it in your wishlist). But the ‘powers that be’, chose to implement this system before creating tools allowing vendors to discount or manage their archived products. So the items reverted to their original full prices.
Why, Renderosity management is not explaining this to Renderosity members I’ll never know. But please don’t delete the items – just hang ten. Perhaps one day the new ever-changing Renderosity management team will do something about this situation.

My one Clearance wishlist item went to regular price a few days ago and has stayed there. Maybe I'll just remove it.

That sucks. I miss the old Renderosity, but it's never coming back, never coming back. MCR

Thread: How to Tell If an Item is Permanent Prime or Temporary? | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
OK. A Prime tag denotes that an item is on sale but is ineligible for coupon usage. (Prime Flash would've worked just as well for this purpose, but I guess that's too much trouble).

Apparently, the fix hasn't been fully implemented. dForce Apollo Outfit isn't a Prime item, but it's got a Prime tag and an expiry date. Tranquility Lodge is a premier item, but it's got a Prime tag and an expiry date---perhaps it is Prime.

Thanks, Ethan B, for the update and clarification.arifzhafir posted at 5:15 AM Tue, 30 July 2024 - #2988668
Hi arifzhafir,Now that non-Prime items are temporarily marked as Prime (purple tag) instead of Prime Flash, I'm unable to know whether the Prime price is going to change. I started a thread in the Suggestion Box, but nothing has changed.
Is there a secret code to discover if a marked Prime item is true Prime, or is this another of the new regime's improvements?
There was a glitch in the system that caused products on temporary prime discount to be marked as "Prime". That has since been fixed! Now, products that have the Purple Prime sash are the permanent prime products.
Thanks,
Ethan B

Thread: What is Prime? | Forum: Suggestion Box
We've made some progress! STZ Shoe shop for DAZ Studio sports a "Premier" tag rather than a Prime tag for its intro discount. However, Renaissance Gloves for G8M, G8F, and G9 has been given a "Prime" tag even though it's actually Prime Flash.
No idea if this is a random occurrence or a response to feedback, but I'll remain optimistic.
Thread: It's quiet. Almost too quiet. | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Thanks, guys, for letting me know. I'd wondered what had happened to the dancing cat girl. You're right, 1stBastion, forum posts and comments are usually insignificant, and that's why their hamfisted policing and deletion is an issue. The quiet here was avoidable, but it may be permanent at this point.
A couple of days ago on the Daz forums, someone posted that the Daz+ freebie shader included several pentagram patterns and had an SKU of 99666. So, I replied, "Repping for the beast. Throw up them sixes, people!" And inserted an image with 29 various celebrities making the 666 sign over one or both eyes. It hasn't been removed. I guess because I didn't blaspheme their god.

I, too, have been threatened with pre-moderation recently. I don't even have to break the tos to get comments removed. For example, I asked rhetorically: "Why does witchcraft have a monopoly here?" That was deemed "past the bounds of reasonable conversation." Another comment that they removed was, "Daz's new image nudity policy is a good idea since 3D p0rn is their last remaining niche due to restrictions by many AI platforms."mouser posted at 7:57 PM Wed, 22 May 2024 - #4485165
Someone else that's been put in the "naughty corner".I have found myself back here at the Renderosity forums as Daz3d forums are taking weeks to clear my replies on their forums.
Or they are simply deleting them altogether, they don't seem to be as tolerant of critic these days.
Break the forum tos to many times and you get put on "pre-moderation", this means your posts all go into a queue to be checked by the forum staff before it get's allowed onto the forums, so basically if your post hasn't shown up after 12 hours it probably never will.
I've been calling content creators "lazy" and "stupid" for the half assed crap they've been doing lately, and that's what "finally" got me on the list.
On a thread about Adobe's new terms notifying users that they claimed the perpetual right to use anything on YOUR hard drive for their purposes, I commented that "People refuse to believe what they see, hear, and experience because their minds will not allow it. The best con games succeed when the mark defends the con, thereby becoming an accomplice in their own victimization." That comment was removed for being "contentious" and "demeaning an entire class of people." We are living in a Kafka story. There shall be no acknowledgment of what is happening. To be mildly hyperbolic, as Edward Snowden said, "When exposing a crime is treated as a crime, you are being ruled by criminals."
