doozy, the type= command sets the mime type and can be used to override the server's defaults. If a webserver is set up properly then that command shouldn't be needed.
Thread: Vicky2 / Asia rendering locks... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, it shouldn't be disk space, I have over 30GB free. I ran home over lunch and upgraded to Win2K Pro, I hope it helps!!! Still have an additional 256MB Ram coming, it can't hurt. Thanks for the help everyone!!!

If I upgrade to 512MB RAM will that fix it? I don't want to sacrifice even a little quality if I don't have to.
Thread: Problem Generating Web-Ready Movie from POSER | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What do you mean "Fails"? Do you mean you click on it and it doesn't play? Can the person download it to tehir local harddrive and run it there OK? If so, then the problem is with the Webserver. The Webmaster needs to set the proper MIME type for the .MOV (or whatever) extension. If they don't set a mime handler in the server, your browser won't handle it properly and may return an error or simply download the file (defaulting to application/octect stream for a MIME type). I THINK the proper mime type is: Extenstion: .MOV, .QT MIME TYPE: video / quicktime That should fix it.
Thread: Collision Detection and range of motion... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Huolong, I disagree. With collision detection, you'd just put the person in the shirt in the default pose, click "Drop object to the floor" and the shirt would hang naturally on the body. You see, the shirt would be trying to fall to the floor, but collision with the shoulders, chest, arms, etc would keep it from jitting the floor, so what you end up with is a gravity effect. Then, as you move the body, the shirt would move with it, but you would lose the gravity effect for a while. After re-posing your model, hit "Drop Object to Floor" and it would simulate gravity again. Does that make sense?

The depth cueing is rendered, but the rendered version looks WAY different than the preview version, which is why I have to render so much. I have a fairly peppy CPU (Athlon 1.3) but it would still be much faster to see actual shadows and the depth "fog" in real time rather than having to keep doing small renders. Thanks!
Thread: Bump map bit depth ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Most bumpmaps I've seen in other programs are 8bit so I'd imagine this one's the same. Bumpmaps are, after all, greyscale.
Thread: ASIA model for Victoria2 question... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've imported the .OBJs in the readme, I think the ones were for the head, and left and right chest, but I'm still getting it. When I apply a face it SORTA does it, but not exactly. I'll try it again when I get home, thanks for the suggestion!
Thread: Help with the walking!!!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm still a newbie too, but I may be able to help since noone else has answered. A character will walk for however many frames you tell them to walk. If you want the character to stop after the walk has already been applied, just delete all keyframes after the frame you want the walker to stop. What I did was create a 30 frame movie, had the walker move for 30 frames, then added another 200 frames for the rest of the action. Dunno if its the best way, but it worked for me.
