Thanks anyway.
I tried importing the UV of my wife's head, while I had UVMapper loaded with my full copy of Judy, but it wouldn't take it. The only way that comes to mind is to use my wife's template as a background picture in UVMapper and move all vertices by hand (Ouch!), then save the whole geometry.Â
Do you know if the expression morphs in the CR2 would still work after all that effort?

Thread: Swapping a Blender UV Map of a Modified Head into a Poser Character | Forum: Blender
Thanks for your response, Jestmart.
I have UV Classic, but never used it. The vt's I need to change are in the copy of the full Judy OBJ. UVmapper shows a map of everything on top of each other, but I only want to change a the skinhead and lips material portions of the head group. I am not sure how to isolate on just those portions using UVmapper. The UVMapper tutorials I've read, so far, are too simplistic to cover this. If you know of an advance tutorial or documentation that covers this, please sent the link.
So far, when I try UVMapper, I get error opening the material library for my copy of Judy's OBJ (the original Judy OBJ does the same thing, so I will ignore that). And I get a warning that my replacement head OBJ has uv coordinates out of range, which I'll try and fix before going further.
Thanks again for your help. With some help, studying and experiments maybe I can chew this.

Thanks for your replies.Â
Since I am doing a Poser morph, you can't break up the vertices. Otherwise I would have used Blender's crease marker/modifier. I'll try and get a hold of Nicholasbishop and suggest the feature.

Thread: Making Virtual Collections | Forum: Vue
Thanks to wabe's response I've solved my problem. The .prv file is the culprit, but also the way around the problem. If I forget to put in the right disk in time and get the Empty Collections notice, I just insert the CD and erase the .prv file before I try loading the collection again. Vue then re-builds a new .prv file and everything is golden. This may also explain why gebe finds using a library so slow. Sams3d and gracia's collections have got to be huge. They have generated so much good stuff. If Vue has to rebuild .prv files for them it has to take forever. Since I am bad with names, particularly when other people make up the file names, I'll try an keep building my own CD libraries, but will subdivide each collection so that the .prv rebuilds don't get too large.
Thread: Light Power | Forum: Vue
If it is any consolation, Vue would not be able to prove your hypothesis anyway, even if you could convert Vue light power settings to standard units. There are just too many other variables. Variables include: 1) Amount of wood in the fire 2) Is the wood damp 3) How high and wide are the flames 4) How much atmospheric haze and absorption is there between the fire and the observer 5) And most of all, what other lighting is the fire competing with, bright sun, normal daylight, dusk or dawn, moonlight, starlight, all with and without overcast clouds. PS. I work on Night Vision Systems and would love it if my hobby could be used in my engineering work. But alas, I must rely on boring proprietary computer simulation programs and expensive experiments.
Thread: Is There a Simplier Way to Align Texture Maps | Forum: Vue
Well I tried UVMapper and got nowhere. Obviously I did something wrong. I practiced with the UVMapper tutorial the that uses a fireplace grate. Once I imported the OBJ file into VUE it had no texture assigned. I tried to assign it the BMP I made, but nothing was to scale. Colors of the grate showed up on the logs. HELP AVARA
Thread: Is There a Simplier Way to Align Texture Maps | Forum: Vue
(First replay attempt appears to have been lost) Thanks for your help. The collection of shapes are all built and aligned in Humapatch and exported over as a DFX file. (The only way I have found to prevent the objects from bein merged.) Some shapes are simple beveled cylinders with nice flat surfaces for applying the photo. Others are 3D blobs needing the graphic and wraparound leather grain texture. I visited the UV Mapper Site and see that it uses OBJ files. I worry that to it will require me to import objects separately and reconstruct them in Vue. That could be as bad as the problem I started with. Thanks again, AVARA
