one folder says ".Daz" for images, and it shows "daz studio scene" for the objects

yeah, she is in my cart, i didn't know it was free, if i bought something else over 3.00$..until i tried to check out, and it refused to give me a download link

v4 isn't a problem with carrara..at least for me.....

the easiest way i have figured out how to work with the 3..because of new ways models are done..is in daz studio, create a genesis character, and save it..then open the saved figure in carrara..so you get the morphs and shaders you want

for poser..the newer versions, ..export figure as collada..then add it to carrara scene

but really...it's a shame..how the companies had to screw things up, ..when they had everything playing together very well

like they just couldn't stand not having people complain

@kenmo..i understand your frustration with the material room..i have all but given up on carrara..i use it only to do indoor scenes ,and only with my poser/daz studio runtime..also because i am used to the y axis being up..i don't use the modeling room ..i just use hexagon(which i had first anyway).

the render engine and the lights are excellent in carrara..i have rendered the same scene in poser,daz studio,vue and carrara..and carrara beats them all..especially indoor scenes
but being so hard to make materials..kinda ruins the fun of experimenting .creating of materials seems harder than it was in bryce..which i loved but had the same problem..creating materials..and thats what made me switch to vue..even though its only the easel version of vue,,it does its job,for out door scenes.i watched a carrara training video for version 5 i think it was vtc training..i had 6 standard..and when it got to the materials room..i got lost..

all i really tried to do was make water..the one that ships with carrara doesn't look right to me..i went in the materials room to change  it..fiddled with the setings,based on common sense..and got almost opposite of what i expected..ok so i reset it..and did opposite of my original tweaks thinking the results would be opposite of my last results..and got a totally different result.

everytime i fool with the material room..i end up having to go to the gym and beat on a punching bag..thank the stars i don't have high blood pressure or i would have stroked out by now.

also is there a site for poser and daz studio addons that tell who makes what,and possibly a link to their site

besides WapicoPu Doll i noticed a few other 3rd party characters,i have never heard of.

i look through the market place and and free sections from time to time and see all kinds of cool stuff for characters i never knew existed..in the free section the details tell you about the product and not enough about the character.

i recently downloaded freebies for koshini...and come to find out ,some of them are for Kiki Krystal,Kit..and k..and i thought they were the same character.with different morphs
also i see there are 2 different krystals..one is a girl and the other is some kind of animal

i know my post is starting to sound redundant ,but i am overwhelmed lol
