The exception being of course for "Forum Coordinators" with "sponsors" with the affiliated ad links going to ads on pages "red-flagged" by WOT.
No dice.
Have no idea how come or for why it was/is allowed - or "just happened" for some, but my stuff is not going to get such ads placed with it.
The ad displayed [because I'm more than a little tired of being insulted] is for "Cool Dudes Productions".
And if this offends anybody, my sincere apologies. But really.

Annual clean-up and all that ... yes I have pulled all my tuts for now.
I do have some ideas for more tutorials however I expect that I will be uploading them elsewhere.
Where has not yet been decided.
If it seriously matters to anybody, I like to be able to edit my posts.
Thread: Why has this forum become a ghost town? | Forum: Freestuff
The concept of not being able to post links to required items is a bit lost on me considering that ad/sponsor links to red flagged sites apparently are allowed and "that does not compute". The concept that most people are "lurkers" instead of "posters" is not new and not a problem BUT when the mods are also not actively involved in the forums, "that does not computer". Thank you for the free space for the freebies however I'm moving on for now. All the best with your sorting.

?? "third anti-virus" ?? no-no!! One only runs ONE anti-virus at a time, running more than one can damage the computer. [as per Norton's]
If the AV program is an issue: disconnect from the internet; run a full scan; if all is well, turn it off. Then open Bryce and let the render work unrestricted. When it is finished remember to turn ON the AV before re-connecting to the web. It is for such complications that some of us have 2 computers. One is for "off-line only work" ... and then a laptop or something just for the internet.

It would appear that Turbosquid has removed them ;-) "Sorry, no results were found for your search."
... and a curious bunch of other cars are now "free" with what I think is called a disclaimer.

You mean you've jumped from D/S3 all the way to 4.9?! Yes, they've made a "few" changes. In essence [IMHO] it's akin to a new program. It will still load the "legacy" items however it now makes and loads "weight-mapped" figures such as the Genesis clan too. It also has 2 render engines to choose from: and shaders for one do not work with the other.
If you have purchased certain plugins for D/S3, be sure to check for the free updates for D/S4 for the few it may matter: AniMate2, and Decimator, and Dynamic Cloth Control. All the figure rigging tools are different AND included in the new D/S programs. There are a few [major] changes in how to use the legacy rigging tools but it is possible. As the new figures use the new rigging and making clothes for them is so much easier; now or when ready, if making clothing this is the way to go. The legacy shapes are available for sale in the other store for Genesis. Then between Genesis and the rest one can usually figure something out.
The "Content Library" doesn't jump around so much and many [I for one] prefer this to the "Smart Library" which is only as smart as whoever coded the files and relies upon which item is selected in the scene.

Whipped up a short quick tutorial on Making One Morph Dial in Two. I have quite a number of character morphs for Genesis which for whatever reasons do not dial in their support morphs [such as V4 for eg.] ... so decided to learn how and it worked so well ... a truly beginner's tutorial lol ... offered "as is" ...

Response to a request was too slow for my pace so tutorial shelved, hmmm ... well folks, technically one can make use of resource images to make brushes and/or picture tubes for ones own use - as well as skins. Busy week lined up ... next month should be rather hectic or extremely peaceful ;-)

Texturing Genesis - the mouth, etc.
A brief 3rd part to conclude this mini-series. Illustrates some use of texture resources as well as matching those "extra" sections for "pro" character sets.
I've noticed some skin resources being sold in the store here BUT no mention made concerning redistribution [free or sale] of characters made using them, so be careful ;-) Resource items come with many licenses same as any other product, do not make assumptions.

The third [and last] part of this mini-series is in the Editing Basket. It focuses on the mouth however all the 3 make for enough information to complete a set, at least at a beginner level. Obviously the more work and better resources one might use would make for better end products, however for learning it's important to keep it fun and successful within attainable goals. The 3rd part does cover some information on using merchant resources.
One important factor in making skin textures these days for redistributing, is to include "no brows" as well as "with brows" as many do use fiber mesh for hair. Either a clone or smudge brush can help with that if using "merchant resources" that do not otherwise provide one.
And I will say this, my most favourite skin texture merchant resource IS sold here at Renderosity BUT it's useless as such 'cause we can't share it ['cause all I make is free] :-( Makes a beautiful ST fanart character known as a "Deltan".

And it's now "in the wilds" :-)
I will be including some more information on using this in the next tutorial. It's not a perfect solution for all skin shaders - some are rather complex and like hay, this was tested on a basic shader, nothing fancy. I would think the more advanced users would know how to make the necessary adjustments for use with fancy skin shaders but that is beyond the scope of my beginner tutorials. The tutorial will also include some information about the use of L.I.E. Again it's not a perfect solution for all texturing matters either, but can be very helpful.
