Thread: rendering for post work | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Test renders I always do at 800x600 at 72 dpi(or smaller) when I am satisfied , a render at 1024x768 to check the final problems I took out and when I am completely satisfied everything is positioned ok I make a final render at: 2000x1500 at 300 dpi ,that usually gives a great result, specially if you want to print it in a big size. Be aware though, If you have a multiple character, lots of lights scene, it could take a lot of time to do this, usually I let these render at night(or during footbal)and postwork the next day.

I find, making a realistic bumpmap in photoshop is: open texture> goto filters> noise> ad noise. goto image>ajustments>desaturate (this ll make it greyscale) go to image>ajustments>brightness/contrast, and ad some contrast, then finall, goto filters>stylize>emboss (angle-90/hight 30/amount 60%, you can play around a little here, use the Save for web option to make it a little smaller .I find these make real good skin and textile bumpmaps! (remember to save under a different name or you'll lose tghe original!)
Thread: Hi res Textures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Symple, the bigger you make your texture, the higher the resolution will be, Victoria texture, 1000 x 1000 wil be of much lower resolution as a 3000 x 3000 , use the same template, just enlarge it!
