The reason it's complicated isn't the ebots themselves, imho, it's the member's email accounts that are rejecting the ebots. Yahoo has problems out the nose. Their servers don't like Ebots & will let them go through sometimes & others, they come the next day or two days later. Sometimes not at all.
If that were true, all forums would have that problem. They don't. Only here.

E-bots : Let me be honest with you on this one. This is what I've been told : We've been having SERIOUS issues with Microsoft, whether it's hotmail, live.com, MSN, outlook, and AOL. Since we're sending out so many notifications, it seems they get blocked by those outlets. Or, if people have us whitelisted, they won't come through. So, be sure not to whitelist Renderosity.com. For e-mail outlets like gmail, we have no issues. If so, please do let me know.
I am a member of about 20 forums, and not one of them has this problem with notifications. What makes Rendorosity different?

I wouldn't hold out for any real improvements to the way that this site works. Renderosity is a subsidiary of Bondware. That being the case you would think that Renderosity would be a shining example of what the Bondware company can produce rather than the sub standard mess that it is.
What I find hilarious is that when this site started, (back when it was Poser Forum Online,) it was to show off what great forum software it was. At this point, it is the worst forum software that I've seen in the 18 years I've been online. It's virtually unusable.

Wow, the lack of common sense here by some is just....amazing. Even when told what the problems are, this person just continues to argue the idiocy of the changes. Incredible. Just f-ing incredible. A tutorial? To use a website?? What? That's just the most insane, silly thing I've ever heard. And people wonder why a lot are leaving? Well, I guess if ya haven't gotten it by now, there's no point in continuing to try to spell it out for all of you.

Exactly.

If Poser would be willing to adopt the industry standards that DAZ has, I can see Poser being able to use DAZ content in the foreseeable future. The ball is in Poser's court.

For example - for all the supposed facial expressions possible, I'd like to see some. They show one.
Here are some examples. http://www.daz3d.com/feel-it-mix-and-match-expressions-for-victoria-7

Nope. Sometimes a rabid idog is just a rabid dog.

Quote - OK.. I've been looking at Beautiful Black HairStyles by Neftis3D and it looks amazing, but it also says in the description that it may use a lot of memory during render. I dunno if I have enough with my measly 8 gigs of ram for this.
I had no problems with it on my old 3.0 GHz with 2 GB of RAM, so I doubt you would have any problems. ;) I HIGHLY recommend it, it's really stunning hair. I also recommend the Alicia Hair at RDNA.

It's called a production cycle.

Quote - I really think it's the way that the dissent is presented rather than someone not agreeing with everything. There's a lot of value in a good critique. But when it is presented with so much venom and spite, it really makes you wonder about folks mental health.
Exactly.
Quote - So someone else's strong feeling makes you uncomortable, and therefore they should be silenced and outcasted, yes? Or they should reword it so that you're not uncomfortable?
None of it makes me uncomfortable. People just need to present their dissent like adults instead of spoiled prepubescents.
Quote - OTOH it wouldn't have hurt DAZ if they had issued a fully Poser compaticle version of Vicky once Poser's rigging tech was "stabilized" by PP-2012 SR2, with weightmapping, animateable joint centers and scaling fully working.
If they did they would have to support two product lines for the same figure. Every product they sold for Vicky would have to have one set up for Poser's rigging, materials etc, and one set up for DAZ Studio's rigging, materials etc. Tricky business. That's a lot of extra work and time to be required, especially since not all DAZ vendors selling products for Vicky are familiar with Poser. I doubt it would be economically feasible for DAZ. I would bet that's the main reason why they haven't done it.
HiveWire seems to be giving it a go for Dawn, we'll have to wait and see how that works out.

Wow Laurie and Connie, very impressive! Those poses show off the figure better than anything I've seen yet.
Really looking forward to getting Dawn!

I've been around since the Errorcode50 days, and yeah, people had arguments, but nothing like the behavior we've had the last few years. That includes all the major forums, not just here.
I agree with SamTherapy 100%.
I'm hoping we can avoid all this crap at the Hivewire forums, but from what I've seen in the Dawn thread, I have my doubts.

V6 is the most used mesh in the world? No, it had the most successful release in DAZ's history.

Different strokes. That's the reason I switched to using DAZ Studio for my main app, ease of use and workflow.
