AVFix is for Poser 11 only, and wouldn't help with Reality in Poser 12 anyway - Reality has a compiled .pyd file that needs to be recompiled from the original source files.
So basically what your telling me is at this point Reality doesn’t work in Poser 12?

Thread: Silly Question - Vue 2014 Complete | Forum: Vue
Quote - Hi Jim,
Once I had Vue 6 Infinite crashing during rendering and it was cused by CPU overheating. (Strangely other versions of Vue rendered the same scene without crash on same computer, also no other software crashed). After I cleaned up CPU radiator, Vue 6 rendering crashes stopped.
However rendering crash can be caused by something in the scene. Then it Vue will crash at the same moment every time you render it.  CPU overheating crashes happened at random.
You should check if your CPU has good cooling, check CPU temperature when rendering (there are dedicated software for that - probably you should get some with your motherboard)
You can try to assign les CPU cores to Vue - you can do it with Windows Task Manager (example from Windows XP 64):
Â
Another reason for crashes can be memmory modules running at too high speed. You shouldn't use any acceleration to your system when rendering in Vue, and check if memory modules have been certified for your motherboard and that they run at nominal speed. You can also try to slow down your system and chek if it helps.
Anyway, Vue is very crashing software, so crashes happens quite often, even if your computer is perfectly OK.Â

Thanks for the tips! This is a brand new laptop, about 5 days old, so I'm confident it's not the computer. What's funny is Plant Factory also crashes but I can run other programs like Daz and Terregen rendering large scenes with no problem.Â

Thread: Odd Problem - Vue 11 Stops rendering when pc goes in sleep mode | Forum: Vue
Quote - Sometimes, like with modo, the program will not allow a computer to sleep while it is rendering. Vue is not that controlling of a computer. It just controls its own resources which it likes to fill up a lot.
Â
Thanks! I turned off Hybernation mode so that should fix it.

Quote - I turn off hybernation and sleep and power save. If I'm worried about wasting power, I'll shut off my monitor. But we live in an age now where we burn oil to view our PDFs everytime we read our PDFs, instead of buying books that don't use as much energy to read from and don't need to burn oil to recharge batteries.
Â
Seems I may have no choice and do just that. It's funny I can create a scene in DAZ3D, export it to Lux Renderer and let it go all night and wake up to a finished scene. Vue just stops rendering.
Â
Oh well.

Quote - Hmm, is it when the machines turns off, and comes back instantly by just hitting any key? If so, this never worked for me. Render aborts at worse, or restarts when I bring Windows back up (this is when I'm lucky), but maybe we are not talking about the same thing? Sorry, my Windows is in french, and though my english is quite good, it isn't when it comes to computer vocabulary...
Â
Yes that's it. With my other 3D programs such as Poser or Daz3D and even previous versions of Vue they keep rendering.Â

Thread: Snow accumulation/Snow atmosphere effect | Forum: Vue
Quote - The default snow will not accumulate. But you can use the particle system to simulate accumulating snow. You enable collisions and then modify the collision properties. One possibility would be to use the "on collision convert to" functionality to add geometry to the underlying surface. Or you could use impact maps to modify the displacement of the underlying material. Check out the latest e-on tutorial on their Youtube channel to learn about impact maps (in that example for rain).

Thanks! Looking at the rain tutorial now.
Thread: Previously purchased Cornucopia content not working in Vue 10.5 | Forum: Vue
Just an update to this and my observation and opinion. Frontier is limited to content that is licensed to it. If you have any other content licensed to a previous version, say V5I in my case, or even unlicensed content it will not work. I'm assuming the only way would be to get the content licensed to the current version of Frontier your using. This is what I have been trying to do and have been unsuccessful so far. Even downloading the content again does not work.
The only way to get around this is to purchase the import module which allows previously licensed or unlicensed content to be used.
From Cornucopia's description of Vue 10 Frontier:
Vue 10 Frontier is fit for commercial use and renders without a logo, but does not let you import 3D models other than static Poser & Daz Studio content and Cornucopia3D locked content (you can lift this limitation with the 3DImport module, or you can create your own models using the program's modeling tools).
At this point I'm just waiting till I can buy a full version of Vue like Vue 11 Complete or Vue 11 Infinite.
Thread: Vue 6 Infinite and Windows 7 ? | Forum: Vue
Quote - e-on released updates in 64-bit because the 32-bit were not working quite right. A lot of complaints at the time. The updates auto-detect 32-bit or 64-bit OS when installed.
ADDED:
I found this just now.
Update to Version 6.60 - Build 292711 This update is available for Mac and Windows (32bit and 64bit) platforms. The following is a list of bug fixes and improvements included in this update:
Warning: This update is for the Final Release version of Vue 6 Infinite only (version 6.05 build 289768 and up). If you're still using the Pre-Release version, please uninstall it and then download and install the Final Release version before applying this update.
Â
Â
Awesome, thanks for your help !
Thread: Vue 6 Infinite and Windows 7 ? | Forum: Vue
Quote - Check the update to Vue 6.60 Infinite to see if its installer is 64-bit. I don't remember if it was or if 64-bit installers started with Vue 7's updates.
 Â
Thanks! Do you know if the 32bit version will run on a 64 bit system?Â

I thought it would be fine but Eon doesn't list any of the newer video cards on their site.Â
