the posts in the betaforum has lessened because no one of the CL-Stuff is there to answer the open questions and issues. They are on holiday, spending our money ;-) .
The Dynamic Clothingfeature and the Hairroom are the major reasons why i bought Poser 5. Is one of this 2 features in an acceptable condition as CL promised ? No. The bugs in clothroom are present since the very first release of Poser 5, also the hairroom.

what do you expect ?
Has CL ever solved the bugs on the ProPack ?
It seems to me that they are now satisfied with their work, after they released SR2.1, or has anyone heard something from CL after the last release ?
I talked to my reseller (where i bought Poser5) before christmas about returning this piece of crap and getting my money back, and i wonder, he said that this would be no problem. So i will wait till the end of january if there will be any good solutions from CL and then i will return Poser 5 and, i swear, NEVER buy any kind of software from this company (and i spend a lot of money in Poser4, the ProPack and their latest achievement called Poser 5).

Poser 5 has no export function to 3ds Max, Lightwave or Cinema4D. These functions are only integrated in ProPack.
Hair and Clothroom ( in P5) doesnt work as they should be, and many other features too. Poser5 on his actually status has for me not more features as the ProPack and was 2x expansier than the ProPack.
It might be usefull to wait till DAZ will release his new DAZ-Studio (or whatever it will be called).

you have to save your V3-CR2 in Poser4 or ProPack, than you will get no more errors in Tailor. I think Poser5 has an other routine when it saves the CR2-files to disk, other than Poser4 or the ProPack.

I tried to transfer some of the V2-morphs to regualr V3 (not V3 to V2) via Tailor. It worked but the results are more than ugly.
I cant understand why so many people want to transfer old V2-morph to new V3, i think V3 is versatile enough with the morph-packages DAZ provided.
Transfering the V2-morph to V3 in Tailor is btw very time-consumpting and i got not the results i want.

Im not talking about the time V3 takes for doing any Renders. Im talking about animating a figure with 72712 verts and 143444 faces ( without clothes & hairs & textures) in an GUI without any hardware acceleration.
I tried to apply some simple walkposes from WD to V3 and the animation looks very jerky in preview window. How can someone do exact keyframing when not exactly seeing if the arm bend to the right position to the right time.
And what will happen when you put in a second figure ? More verts and more faces to calculate.
You can take the fastest processor you will find, you wont be able to do a good animation without hardware accelereted GUI.
Thats only my opinion.

You can use your V2 maps only on the "Vicki3 to Vicki2"-figure which seems to have the same mapping like Victoria V2, but you can apply all new face-morphs from Victoria V3 to "Vicki3 to Vicki2.cr2" which is included in the package.
I tried to apply a V2 map to regular V3 without success.

I hope DAZ will release DAZ-Studio or whatever it will be called as soon as possible.
Posing Victoria V3 is a pain in the ass in Poser 5 or Poser 4 or Poser Pro Pack.
I tried her on all three Progs and without a hardware accelerated GUI like OpenGl or Direct3D there is no fun on doing animations with such a high resolution model.
I cannot imagine that someone will be able to do any good animation with V3 because of her high polycount.

I think that Victoria V3 is way to detailed for Poser and this will be a good starting point for the application DAZ will release in the very near future (I hope).

same happens to me. imported new morph and an old one was replaced, saved the scene as pz3 and opened it again and the old morph target appeared instead of the new one i imported.
i think it has something to do with the new SR. Maybe there is a limit for maximum morph targets now on each bodypart, coz it was the head from vic2 with many MT where it happens to me.

Hatte das Problem schon mehrmals beim downloaden aus dem marketplace hier auf rosity. Lag aber an meinem ISP bzw an der Verbindung.
DL-Manager funktioniert nicht nei rosity.

1. Working collision-detection
2. Working Clothroom
3. Reducing memory requirement when rendering

and i would not pay for this because i already paid for 6),7),8).

DS will truly only run on Win98 or Win95 and theres no way to get it working on XP or W2K !!!

And the most important thing you will need in the future is a fast cable modem for all those patches and fixes and patch-fixes. ;-)

Sorry for the sacrasm but i hope someone can feel how it is to suck lots of patches through an 56K modem and knowing that this 15MB-Patch wouldnt be the last one.
