Inonoit,
If your looking for several good was to use the UV Mapping in Hexagon go look at the Hexagon tutorials over at Geekatplay studio. Really excellent - the ones covering the stump and a few of the others has good info on using shaders and textures.
UVMapPro is another program I would suggest you look into.
Cheers

Delphi,
Sounds like a procedural texture.
Go over to CG Textures. http://cgtextures.com/
Search on Grass - you can find good tiled grass textures there.
Then if you have paint or gimp or similar you can also make a displacement or bmp map that might work very well for you.
Other options are the Bryce Shaders that have been setup to work for D/S that are sold over at DAZ. Also you can look at other ground options you may have with other props that may do what you want.
Cheers

Most of what I have seen along this has been postwork (seen a couple tutorials). I know there are a couple products that have a prop that is used to mimic volumetric lighting. That I know of there is not an easy way to do this in D/S. I believe its AurthorPendragon over at DAZ that has a product that lets you get to the options to adjust the falloffs of the lights in D/S but I have not played enough with them to say if they will do what you want.

Photostar has a good idea for the Art Charts.
I see lots of really good artist that get hardly any comments at all. One of the hard parts is just getting peoples attention to take a look and then take the time to leave a comment.. Looking at pages of stuff in a short period of time sometimes its hard to leave more then a short comment. I think leaving a comment to say hi I stopped by and enjoyed looking at your artwork is important.
Personally - I do not let it bother me or affect how I want to comment to other people. I appreciate everyone who comes by and looks at my images and leaves a comment. Those that leave a bit of advice or an idea of what caught their attention are of course especially appreciated. I have lots to learn and each is a chance to learn something and a bit of encouragment.

Is there a delay in getting images approved? I submitted one a couple days ago and if there is an issue would like to know so I can correct.
Thanks
